Long shot but has anyone found any place selling Sir Lancelot high gluten flour 50lb? This is a king Arthur flour used for pizza. I can find it online but shipping is quite expensive.
I was a daily rider of the 372. I am very mad that it has been removed. The new transfer requires crossing a busy intersection with a dangerous right turn (145th and LCW, by the McDonald's), and the timing is usually off so the 522 passes you right before you cross, and never waits. It has added 20 minutes to my already long commute. I don't have a car. I think the decision to do this was based on funneling everyone to the light rail, which deprioritizes cross town routes. It also cuts Lake City off from LFP and Kenmore. Also this route went directly between UWB and UWS. Now if I want to travel between campuses, which I often have to do for my job, it's more annoying. I wish they had reduced trips rather than cutting the route up. It was a commuter route and I could have dealt much better with needing to be at the stop on the hour.
Hello! I am moving to the area and am not very familiar with how traffic is let alone the ferry system. I’m debating getting a place in Bremerton so I can get away from the city chaos a bit; then hopping on the ferry to Seattle. I work near the Seattle terminal as well so I might use the fast ferry and just walk occasionally. Just looking for suggestions/any insight! Edit: Thanks everyone for the insight. Def doesn’t sound like the play. I’m leaving this post up for future ppl with a similar question.
My mom is planning to take me to Seattle from October 23-26 for my birthday! It’ll be both our first time there (we are from SoCal). My actual birthday is the 25th. She is 40 so we are pretty similar, both very into fun activities and attractions. We’ve never really heard of anything to do so I’m looking for some recommendations. I love thrifting, vintage markets, record stores. I’m a big music fan, museum nerd, we are not against tourist-y stuff either. Also any breakfast, lunch, dinner or desert spots? I think we’ll be walking mostly or uber every now and then. This is what we have so far just as a list: Easy street records Fremont vintage mall Fremont Sunday market Bainbridge island ferry Ballard market Kerry park (nighttime view) Pike place market Space needle
These are the new owners. https://www.peaklivingps.com/ What are peoples experiences with them? I've read some google reviews, and they are mixed.
We are new to the area and looking for child care if anyone has recommendations. To give a little information our daughter is 4 months and need a daycare that has the latest hours possible (i worked for the post office and want to get back with them) I would need full time. I hae checked some of the big names but at 3k plus a month if anyone has information on others would be greatly appreciated also willing to travel a little within reason from Kent.
Looking for a new carrier. Before I make the switch, I wanted to hear what other Seattleites ' experience with the service has been. I'm primarily in Seattle, but often travel to Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Anacortes, Camano, Bellingham, Ocean Shores, and Westport. Pretty much all over the Puget Sound, north and south, plus the coastal areas, and even the mountains - usually at least once a month. Let me know if you are using it and are getting good service. Or, if you have used it and had to cancel it. Locations of use would be very helpful. Thanks so much. (Accidentally posted in r/Seattle and not r/AskSeattle , so reposting here. Thanks.)
