Pick your favorite: coffee shops, arcades, bars, bowling alleys, board game cafes... This state and our area, as much as we love them, make the economics of these places 100% unworkable. They simply can't survive the real estate costs, supply costs, utilities, and taxes. And yet they would create real, knock on benefits and value in our lives. Not just getting us off our phones but creating new social networks - the real kind! - and driving new traffic to existing businesses (how many of you spend time at that Gilman Corner complex... beyond Issaquah Coffee?). Would this be so crazy?

hello, i’m back requesting a follow up to an earlier post. i’ve been unable to convince the person im taking to go pretty much anywhere other than crab pot. i really need something that’s the same tourist-style attraction but food that’s better than sysco. i’ve been looking at happy crab in ballard and it seems promising. is that probably my best option? for this weekend so ideally somewhere with a ~1 hour or less walk up or open reservations.

Hello all, My wife and I are coming to town for the last week of October for some family stuff. We will have a few days to ourselves and a rental car, and will be bringing backpacking gear. Any recommendations on places to go for 1-2 nights near Seattle for cool scenery and back country camping/hiking? Asking here for specific weather/condition info too, as we are from the east coast. We don’t necessarily need to do a ton of mileage, mainly just want cool views and maybe fall colors if there are any left by then. Yellow Aster Butte was recommended and we might check that out, but looking for other good options too. Thanks for any help and inspo!

I'm moving back in a few weeks and spotted a place in Georgetown that's in my budget. I always liked Georgetown but never got a chance to live there, that was 10+ years ago though. Additional information: Will be working on the hill so the 60 would be my go-to bus line. Am surly old rock & roller

Lowest tide of the week yesterday (at least during daylight hours) at Richmond Beach saltwater park. Shoutout to the older gentleman picking up trash who told me it’s one of his hobbies, thank you for taking pride and care in our community!
