Hi, I will be relocating to Bellevue soon and was interested in the Vicino apartments especially because of the move in offer and that the units are newer Wanted to get feedback from people living there. - How do you feel about the apartments. - How are the amenities specifically the lounge and gym? - Does the gym have sufficient equipments? - Regarding parking - is the garage parking like a covered parking area where you get dedicated parking slot and are there street parking options available (since $200 seems a but high)? Is the surrounding area safe in terms of crime, homeless people and in general safety itself? Would it be safe to step out in the night? Would you be able to provide an estimate on the utilities charges? What do the common utilities charges look like? Do you have any other recommendations for apartments with similar rent range and good amenities? Thank you so much in advance!

Children should play in the dirt, not on plastic grass! First, I would like to state that I support and value Issaquah parks and the employees who upkeep the parks. As part of the upcoming Issaquah Parks Renewal Bond (November 2026) the City of Issaquah is proposing to add artificial turf sports fields to three elementary schools in the Issaquah School District (Grand Ridge, Clark, and Issaquah Valley elementary schools). I would like to register my opposition to this plan for the following reasons: 1. Artificial turf has been shown to contribute to global warming by absorbing significantly more radiation than living turf and, to a lesser extent, by displacing living plants that could sequester carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. The surface temperature of an artificial turf field can be 10-35 deg F hotter than a natural grass field. Increasing temperatures by adding artificial turf is counter to Issaquah’s Climate Action Plan. 2. The addition of artificial turf fields eliminates natural habitat for wildlife and humans. Countless birds, mammals, and insects utilize our natural grass sports fields. Humans need a place to interface with the natural world. There is no substitute for walking and playing on natural surfaces. 3. Artificial turf fields emit pollutants into our ground water. Over time, artificial fields wear out and small bits of plastic, synthetic subsurface materials, and adhesives break free and enter the surrounding natural environment. I have seen maintenance crews at Dodd Field artificial turf fields use leaf blowers to move these materials into the surrounding natural environment. 4. Artificial turf fields wear out and are generally replaced every 8-10 years. This generates a huge amount of plastic waste that takes hundreds of years to breakdown in landfills. Again, small bits of plastic enter our environment. 5. We need to preserve natural green space within our city, especially near our schools. Once greenspace is removed, it will be difficult to bring it back. Please consider voting NO on the 2026 Park Bond renewal. Our city leaders can develop a more environmentally friendly park plan for the next election cycle. We can do better!
Recently moved to Kirkland and am looking for a better dentist. But I have had terrible luck in the past. Any help would be great!
Someone close with me had a small folding knife very sentimental to the two of us confiscated by TSA at the Seattle airport when leaving for a business trip and I was wondering how feasible it would be to track down? Ive read they get auctioned off in lots but I dont know if that process takes a while and it was confiscated yesterday. If I track it down do I have to get the whole lot or if I can fast enough can I maybe just get the one I want. Any guidance is appreciated.
What is the Rainier Vista mixed income community like? Do you feel safe and comfortable walking around and accessing the light rail at night? Any concerns of crime? Thoughts about living there?
There's a dosa stand at Ballard Farmer's Market that is DELICIOUS: The Bangalore Kitchen .
Not a day goes by without someone mentioning the Seattle Freeze on this sub! I’m curious to hear everyone’s perspectives. How do you define the Seattle Freeze? Are you the freezer or the frozen? What have you done to avoid contributing to the freeze? If you’ve never experienced it, what do you think you’ve done differently?
Hi neighbors! Last weekend I was in West Virginia doing the unenviable task of searching through and cleaning out my aunt's home since she just died at 100. Her son was there and we were mostly looking for fabrics because my mother and Aunt are quilters and the aunt who passed was also a quilter. I am not a quilter so I was just bumming around, and I opened a box and found what appears to be a full kimono and obi. It was wadded up and shoved into a box about 8x8x8 in. It is a mess. It's clean. It has no smell. But it needs (probably) cleaned and (definitely) pressed out and since I think it may be silk though I'm not sure, it's not something I want to try. I'm certain I will ruin it. Has anyone ever used a good dry cleaner/conservator that they can recommend to me? I would like to display it on a wall so that it can be enjoyed by everyone who visits.
Hello, I am looking at moving down to Lynnwood since I work at a local dealership. I make pretty good money for my age and I am a huge car guy. If anyone in here lives at Alderwood Place how is it? Is it worth the money? I’m particularly curious about the parking garage and parking in general. I have a loud corvette and I’m wondering if there would be an issue with noise ordinance? I rebuilt it and it turned out a LOT louder than I had intended
Does anyone have recommendations for hikes that aren’t too far outside the city limits? I adopted a reactive dog last year and take him to Discovery Park and he loves it, but sometimes it’s so busy with dogs off leashes I don’t feel comfortable taking him for his and other dogs sakes. Preferably a hike that has trails wide enough that I can pull him off to the side for others to walk by if need be. Bonus points if there are streams. He loves the water!
