I live near a park that doesn’t have a parking lot, so park visitors often park on nearby streets. People keep parking in front of this “no parking” sign, and when they do this they essentially block a lane of traffic on the street (and cause traffic to swerve into the lane of oncoming traffic). I’ve called KPD non-emergency to report it (mostly because it creates a hazard), but is there anything else I can do about it? Photo shows the sign, which looks like an official one placed by the city.

Looking for anyone who witnessed a strange incident on mukilteo speedway this evening around 7. At the intersection of Lincoln way and sr 525, going north. When stopped at the red light a blue sedan reversed into a silver sedan. The blue sedan had on its hazards and just steadily reversed into the other car while the silver car was behind it at the light. Silver car honked repeatedly for the entirety of it. Blue car just stayed there and then the Light turned green and blue car carried on down the road, silver car followed honking when the blue car didn’t pull over. Blue car wasn’t speeding away or anything. And silver car eventually turned onto a side street. If you witnessed this at all please comment or dm me!

I (26 male) am considering moving to Tacoma in the near future from the Bay Area. Older siblings are moving out, folks are getting old, and it’s getting way too expensive. I was curious what is life like as teacher in Tacoma? For context: I’m finishing up my credential and planning to save up while doing induction. Orginally I was going to be in journalism but had to pivot due to lack of opportunity and falling out of love with it.

Saw a loose dog on the Burke-Gilman right in front of the Fred Meyers. It was a medium / smaller medium sized dog, looked like a mostly black heeler / shepard like dog with a white tail tip. It had a harness on but no collar or name tag. I tried to call it over but it was skittish so I didn't chase after it. I have some blurry photos from after it ran away across the road. I hope it finds its way home!

Hi, all! I'm looking for a gathering space for a family event, but I don't think I know the search term for what I'm looking for. Specifically, I'm trying to find a place that serves alcohol but is also able to have under-21's around; bonus points if they sometimes host live music. Anyone have suggestions for a space like this in Tacoma?

Hey folks, In the past I've been involved in some great musical communities in both Seattle and Spokane. Since moving to Issaquah a little over a year ago I have thought it would be cool to try to host some shows somewhere. More of a singer/songwriter folk or stripped-down vibe, perhaps even all ages or day-time shows, but with good music from established local or touring indie artists. In Seattle, I really love the Fremont Abbey and what they do there. The Triple Door is also awesome. People really come and sit down and listen to the music at those places. Any ideas for good spaces or venues that might be interested in hosting something like this (or available for a rate that is reasonable)? Thanks -Kevin
