At the October 14, 2026 Everett City Council meeting, the Everett Forward Business Support and Reinvestment package was approved in a unanimous vote. Modernizing the City’s business and occupation (B&O) tax structure, supporting local small businesses and createsnew opportunities to reinvest in Everett’s economy. The package provides significant tax relief for small businesses, reduces the tax rate for retailers and generates approximately $3.5 million in new annual revenue to support economic development initiatives that will strengthen Everett’s commercial districts, improve services for businesses and help attract new investment.

Hello! I’ll be your average tourist for the 1st visiting Seattle. Me and my husband will be traveling and staying in burien. We won’t have a car but are willing to do public transportation. My question is, how do I get to downtown Seattle and see all the “tourist attractions “ if im traveling from the burien transit station. Please explain to me like I am 10 because I am very new to all of this 😭 Thanks!

So long story short, i got a couple days here for a conference so I’ll only have evenings free. I’ve spent 2 summers in Seattle, so I’ve done the basic stuff like pike place and the space needle, but I’m curious if there’s any more “niche” places, restaurants, or activities that yall could recommend that could be done in an evening? No worry about transportation, I used to take the buses at 11pm when I interned here 😭

If your name is Drew (can provide last name in PMs) I found your debit card, two credit cards, and your safeway rewards card on the corner of 61st and 15th. I called your debit card and they were able to lock it but I couldn’t get through to your credit cards without your SSN. I’m holding onto them so if this is you or someone you know lmk and I can give them back! I would need to see ID just to make sure though. :)

Hello! I read other threads on Diamond Parking Lot, where people said they simply don't pay the ticket. I grew up in Seattle and remember when we actually had parking lots that weren't charging an arm and leg or were free. I feel Diamond is such a scourge in the community. That being said, I got a parking ticket for being in a lot literally 5 minutes. It was in a rental car though... do they have a way to track and enforce this other than the plates? Should I pay it in case they somehow contact the rental company, or just do nothing? Rental has already been returned.

hey everyone! I’m the owner of Swoop Scoop, the local pooper scooper service, & I just wanted to tell everyone on here THANK YOU! we recently passed 300,000 yards cleaned, and it came from support from the dog lovers here in town. i started this business with a friend 6 years ago and still remember it like it was yesterday. I was doing social work and just trying to make some extra money on the side. But I never imagined it would turn into what it is today. What started as me out cleaning the yards doing the work myself turned into a real company that now employs over 25 amazing team members. along the way, I also came to realize just how much this service actually helps people. I've been fortunate enough to have so many conversations with you guys in your yards, hearing about your lives, what you're going through, and why you need our help. From elderly homeowners and adults with disabilities to people recovering from surgery, busy families, and people working long hours. i would say that impact is definitely what keeps us going. i know scooping dog poop is not exactly the most glamorous business in the world, but building something useful for people has been incredibly meaningful. And I've found our workers are very proud of what they do, too. It's about an honest of a living as it gets. so again, thank you to everyone in Seattle who has trusted us, supported us, referred us, or even just encouraged us along the way. We really do appreciate it! Cheers to the next 300,000! 🙂

Hi friends, I’m working on a project that can help you get a sense of what your councilperson or the mayor has been doing (legislatively) during their term. The idea is to score and rate their work like baseball players are scored, wherein they get points based on the quality and quantity of their legislative achievements. It makes their tenure easier to understand from a 10,000 ft. view. You can see the council's effect on citywide stats like crime rate or consumer prices, homelessness, etc. The goal is to make the underlying records more accessible so people can form their own judgments. It’s still a work in progress, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and what it's missing or hard to understand or whatever. Legisrate.org
