Hi! I’m a 30 y/o Black woman moving to Kirkland for a job and this will be my first time in Washington. I picked WA because my dog and I love rain, gloomy days, hiking and wildlife, so it seemed like a great fit. But I want to have an open/candid discussion how do y’all treat Black people out there? I know racism exists everywhere, but I’m exhausted by having to consider my skin color when deciding where I can comfortably live. POC what has your experience been like in Kirkland? But I genuinely want to hear from everyone good, bad, awkward, whatever. Be real with me lol.

Just landed and I need some hiking boots. I know most places don't really carry my size so I was wondering if any fellow big footed people have any recommendations.
I just got laid off and had to cancel my expensive corepower membership and I’m super sad about it. Does anyone know of any low-cost or free yoga or other workout classes? Preferably in the Eastlake/Capitol Hill general area but doesn’t need to be.
I tried to call the fire department, but got voicemail. Can anyone tell me where I can find info on Lynnwood and Edmonds decommissioned underground oil tanks. I am hoping to make an offer on a house, but the current owner does not know if there is an underground oil tank. I think I might hire an inspector to do a oil tank scan. But even if there is no oil tank found, I would like to know if it was decommissioned properly. Thanks.
It’s been like this for years now and continues to be a moderate irritant. Surely they’re aware of it, right? Verizon users, is the area between the CC and Mt Baker stations a dead zone for you too?

I'm a marketing freelancer, and I usually just want to get to know my client's environment to better strategize for them. And I heard about the "Seattle freeze" and immediately got interested. Is it true? Does it happen in other states as well? What do communities typically look like in Washington?
I’ll be visiting Seattle for 8 weeks this time next year. I’ll be driving up from Austin, Texas. Few questions. I was wondering, what is the weather typically like in September-October? Also, what are some of y’all’s favorite things to do around this time of year? I wanted to check out one of the national parks while I’m there as well, which one should I see? Finally, is there anything else I should know about visiting? I know it’s a lot of questions for one post. Feel free to answer just one.
just curious, i’ve been trying to take better care of my skin and have been using it over the summer. was wondering if it was still necessary over the winter since i heard uv can still penetrate clouds
Looking for studio apartments within a walkable distance from Amazon spheres / dopper. I will be commuting to the Bellevue office and prefer to stay closer to amazon shuttles. I prefer to have in-house laundry unit and rent ranging from 1500-1600~.
