There’s police circling the Judkins area with their lights, sirens, and announcing for everyone to stay in their homes due to a K9 deployment. Anyone have the tea on what’s going on?

Hi everyone, I was wanting to do some kayaking on the Cedar River and my first question would be is are there any sections currently unsafe or difficult to navigate because of fallen trees, landslides, etc. And then, if I had up to 5 hours of kayaking what's a good drop off and pickup point? I labeled the alphabet to help but I bet the points have names. And anything really cool to see to keep an eye out for or any Cedar-specific advice? I found some sites about it and a reddit post from 3months ago talking about some changes, thoroughly documented. Thank you for your help!
I was riding a lime bike home when I witnessed a car hit a man riding his bike in the road. I called 911, and the man was just laying there with a stream of blood coming from him. And the car just drove away I gave my statement to two police officers but wtf am I supposed to do with the mental load that comes with that 😞
The outage started at midnight. It's dark in Lake City. The dog does not approve.
Hi everyone, I’m planning a road trip from Seattle to British Columbia in early October and would really appreciate some advice from people who live in BC or have driven this route recently. I’m renting a BMW X5 from National at Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) . The rental is from October 3–17 , and I’ll be driving into Canada, including BC and eventually toward the Canadian Rockies. My main concern is tires . I understand that rental vehicles from Seattle are normally equipped with all-season tires, but I’m not sure exactly what I’ll get. I’m trying to find out what is realistically acceptable for driving in BC in early October, especially if I encounter snow or icy conditions in the mountains. A few questions: What tires do Seattle rental SUVs usually have in early October? Should I expect M+S tires, or is 3PMSF (mountain/snowflake) common? Does anyone have recent experience taking a National/Enterprise rental SUV from Seattle into BC ? When picking up the vehicle, is it reasonable to ask the rental counter to confirm the tire markings and tread depth? If the X5 has regular all-season tires without the 3PMSF symbol, would you personally be comfortable driving the BC mountain highways in early October , assuming the roads are dry? Are there any particular routes or mountain passes where I should be extra cautious at that time of year? I’m not looking for a legal interpretation only — I’d especially like to hear from BC residents or people who regularly drive the Sea-to-Sky / Trans-Canada / BC mountain routes in October . If you’ve rented a vehicle from SEA recently and remember what tires it had, that would also be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
In north Seattle lake City area. Anyone else without power?
Dozens of landlords are telling the same story: They’ve been ghosted and unpaid by West Seattle-based property management company Dwellings Seattle, Inc. in recent months, struggling with the ensuing legal and financial mess, while most live out of state or even out of the country. They have banded together online, filing complaints that are spurring investigations by Seattle Police and other agencies into the principals of the firm that owners say has withheld more than $1 million from them. ....
Well, this is a new one but I'm not surprised by anything anymore. A business is attempting to charge me 4% processing fee. This seemed insanely high to me so I did a bit of research. Turns out that fees are capped at 3% for Visa and 4% for Mastercard, or your actual processing cost (whichever is lower). The fee also must be listed as a separate line item on the receipt. Surcharges on debit cards are not allowed. Some states cap or prohibit the fees, Washington does not. https://usa.visa.com/content/dam/VCOM/global/support-legal/documents/merchant-surcharging-considerations-and-requirements.pdf

Hey y'all! I just had some pretty major facial surgery, and as part of that several small pieces of my skull were removed, including some long strips from the jaw line, good-sized little nubs from the back of the jaw, a solid chunk of chin-bone, and some sundry forehead fragments. For what it's worth surgery went great, and I'm currently recovering well. :) But I asked for and received the pieces that were removed, and now need to figure out how to make something of them. I'm currently thinking jewelry would be very cool. Do y'all know any artists and jewelers who can make this dream a reality?
