I've been watching that mullet reviews guy and am wondering if there are any solid Chinese buffets around Seattle? I remember there was one by the Shoreline Central Market but it looks like it's a normal Chinese restaurant now. I would even be interested in other types of buffets, as long as they are strictly buffet... none of that "buffet at lunch only" type of thing. Thank you!
I wanted to post this as a warning for anyone searching for an emergency locksmith in Seattle. I got locked out of my apartment tonight after losing my keys. I called a locksmith I found through Google. On the phone, I was told the job would be roughly $200–$300. The person I spoke with also made a comment suggesting I probably didn’t have enough money because I was calling around for quotes, even though they were actually the first place I called. When the locksmith arrived, the price became approximately $440. I questioned the difference between that and what I had been told over the phone. The conversation became argumentative, with him repeatedly talking over me. I eventually told him that I would pay the $440 anyway, but the argument continued. During the interaction, I mentioned that I believed a neighbor’s Ring camera might have captured what was happening. He responded by asking whether I planned to post the footage online and make him look bad. He then voluntarily reduced the price to $200. I did not ask him to lower it to that amount. My card was ultimately charged $221.10. He also brought up the fact that I had been drinking. Earlier, while I was waiting for him to arrive, he had actually encouraged me over the phone to go to the store and get a six-pack because of the wait. Another thing that concerned me afterward was the verification process. I gave him my ID and he photographed it, but he did not ask me to provide documentation showing that I actually lived at the apartment before opening the door. I had a recent bank statement and a package with my name and address available specifically for that purpose, but neither was requested before entry. Afterward, he tried calling me. I replied asking him to communicate by text, but I have not received a written explanation. I also attempted to leave a Google review and discovered that Google currently has review posting disabled for the listing. The notice states that there was a recent spike in spam reviews, that reviews were removed, and that the rating was updated. I’m not claiming to know who posted those reviews or why Google flagged them, but that is the notice Google is currently displaying. I’m posting this so other people know to avoid Locksmith AM:PM. I would also ask exactly what identification or proof of residency they require before they open the door.

At 6:30 I heard the Sounder hit the horn for a solid minute before coming to a complete stop and blocking the crossing. Now there is a large TFD and TPD response on the scene.
I have family in Seattle and I feel like I am missing years of time with them and milestones with nieces and nephews. I’m an Aerospace Engineer with experience as a project engineer as well, but I’m willing to do anything. After a year of applying I had a dream job offer yanked due to a strike and I am feeling very discouraged. My wife is an Arborist which I assume would be in high ish demand in the area. Or is that over saturated? Are there any engineering firms hiring big time right now or other fields looking for project engineers that you know of?
Using findings of the June report, the state Department of Revenue carried out a new analysis that predicted the tax would bring in $3.1 billion for the next budget and roughly $8.3 billion in the 2029-31 biennium. Voters will see those sums in the fiscal impact statement for Initiative 645 that is online now and will be in voter pamphlets. Reich projects even larger collections of $3.5 billion for the next budget and $9.4 billion for the 2029-31 period. That's not enough to erase a several hundred-million-dollar-deficit in the 2028 fiscal year that begins next July or make a dent in the anticipated multibillion-dollar shortfall in the next budget. [...] This sets up the third straight year lawmakers have returned to Olympia facing a budget shortfall. ~ Two official numbers for the same tax, $400 million apart, and the pamphlet gets the smaller one. The state's own chief economist is not the source voters will see.
Hello Tacoma! I am looking for something analogous to a repository of manufacturing/heavy industry in & around Tacoma in the hopes of finding opportunities that are related to my current skill set. I am a chemical engineer who recently moved here, and the big name companies (and industries) for ChemE aren't exactly plentiful in the area. As a result, I'd like to look for adjacent or supporting industries that could still use someone with that type of experience. Anything to lead me to a role, or just help me specify what kind of training I should build on. I've looked at the Pierce county and Tacoma city sites, job posting sites, and good ol' fashioned googling. Any other ideas or recommendations
Any suggestions are much appreciated! I'm willing to travel a bit in pursuit of it as well if that's what it takes. I just don't want to ferment it myself.
Just moved recently and wanting to go out for a drink! Looking for a lowkey, dive bar with chill vibes. Pool, darts & pull tabs a plus. Even better if they occasionally have karaoke, bingo or other events Rather avoid downtown if possible 😅 been down there a few times and not really my vibe
