Bored? Looking for love? Want to help keep our street sewers working and the streets clear? Become a drain warden! Adopt a drain! Adopt four of them! Last year I found about about this program that I guess Seattle partners with, where residents can sign up to take care of storm drains near them. It looks to be nationwide, and that includes Seattle! Here's the Washington site: https://wa.adopt-a-drain.org/ It's pretty easy. Just go out in your dirty chore clothes, bring along a pair of gloves, a spade and a shovel. Pull open the storm drain, pull out the soil, leaves and other debris, and leave it clean. You've just made civilization work just a tiny bit better! I picked out four drains on my street, and kept them maintained all winter long. I just went out and checked in on them, and a couple had backed up pretty badly through spring and summer, but clean out was pretty easy. The whole project took maybe an hour. Last year, the first time I did it, they were all completely filled with soil. One I had to chop out a massive root with my sawzall, which is always super fun. Any...check it out! I'm not affiliated with the organization except as an enthusiastic sewer nerd. https://preview.redd.it/idfze48x8yrh1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b78e165d1252937c9798396a7143067457e7f94c https://preview.redd.it/nuaqv38x8yrh1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=698ff9c0fbbb13bfb768c2843712e95ca87eeebc https://preview.redd.it/nq34m58x8yrh1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0207315deb3fa12d4f0e5be6d8e6a5f9d2e863c3 https://preview.redd.it/7o40u58x8yrh1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9b1db03e091ec10dde9fe8d1a2ec34ae9fe4620 https://preview.redd.it/4yxyo48x8yrh1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3ad78de4be631b88ca8f28648b89c8374879162

I know this must be an odd place to look for an answer to this question. But, do any of you fine folks know what shampoo The Olympic Athletic Club uses? It does my hair right. I need to know.
i broke the USB port on my midi keyboard (M-audio KeyRig 49) and am wondering if anyone knows a place that could fix it
Hey folks, I recently started experimenting with making home made cultured butter. While the results with store bought cream and yogurt have been good, I really want to try making it with raw cream. Does anyone know of any good dairy farms that I can either buy from or that sells at local markets that is reputable and preferably grass fed (going after that super golden butter)? (no, I'm not a raw milk weirdo, I know the dangers, in this case I'm looking for it for a very specific application)
I have some 2 adults and a 4th grader in our group and we have no idea how many tickets we'll need if 2 adults and the kid want to go on "some" rides. I know we don't need the $59 bundle for a green admission ticket and the deluxe ride package. Any advice?
I’ve been living in Brooklyn (currently Greenpoint) for over a decade and considering moving to the Seattle area. I want to be somewhere quiet, leafy, hopefully with nice views and fairly close to nature (mountains). I’ll be getting a dog so plan to be in the car heading to nice walking places regularly. I prefer colder temps and overcast. Weather is not an issue. First instinct and recommendations are Capitol Hill (38yo gay male), but since I’m really looking for a change I’d also consider just being within driving access. 20-25 minutes sounds totally reasonable to me, that’s about the driving time I’m used to to get downtown where I grew up. Google recommended Bothell. Anywhere else a cosmopolitan art-inclined gay might find some peace but also nice neighborhood vibes? Someone described Bellevue as soulless, but I don’t necessarily need to be right in the center of a hot neighborhood at this point in life. Would love to hear human recommendations on nice areas I should consider when I take a trip to check things out. Be as specific as you’d like, I don’t know the area at all and want to do some real location scouting soon. Budget up to $3k for rent and parking which seems very doable from what I’ve found so far.
So is the City going to do anything on the open air junkie fest at 196th and 99? Open dealing and using and the familiar fetty fold all over the area. End of the light rail line shuttles all these fine folks right to the area via bus in the heart of the shopping area. Time for intervention and clean up

I have Tyler Childers tickets. Two good aisle seats for Fri. 10/2 @ Climate Pledge; AND; two good aisle seats for Sat. 10/3 @ Moda in Portland. Looking for someone interested in going with me or someone wanting to buy any amount of tickets from me. So far I haven't found anyone interested in going. I've had unexpected expenses come up recently and would like to get some cash back for these tickets, but could be open to the right sorta cash/trade friendly connection? If you are wanting to purchase I suggest we use the Cash or Trade app. Single ticket face value price is $173. About me: I live in Oregon. I lived for short periods of time onboard a small cruise vessel moored in Ballard. I see a lot of live music but mostly in the realm of jambands and bluegrass. This will be my first Childers concert; although I did hang outside the venue in Bend and listened to him from afar one time. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.
Yesterday as I was omw home merging i5s to 16 I saw a bike down. People helping and the rider was being stabilized. Anyone know him? Any way to help?
