The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed gross misdemeanor criminal trespass charges in March 2026, declining to pursue felony charges due to insufficient evidence linking specific individuals to the roughly $1 million in reported property damage including spray-painted walls, broken equipment, fires and shattered windows. [...] In June 2025, the UW Police Department officially referred felony charges against all 33 individuals to prosecutors. "The letter [was] applauding [UW] for having arrested us as they did, and then also saying that all of UW's grants and contracts would be monitored and under review pending the outcome of the student conduct process against us," she said. ~ Campus police sent all 33 up as felonies. Prosecutors could not tie anyone to the damage and charged trespass, ten months after 23 of them had already been suspended and barred from campus health care.

Both of these vehicles have been parked here for over an hour. Why do they think hazard lights makes it OK? I’m specifically annoyed at the bus because this happens frequently and it’s the idling noise that irks me. Yes, I’ve called the cops to report a parking infraction but this type of thing is obviously low on their list. The bike lane is being blocked which just undermines the efforts of the city to try and make walking and biking more appealing.

Hello Seattle area tea people. I recently broke my old, loved, and well used Bonjour Zen teapot and am having a hard time finding places that sell teapots that I like. I'm looking for something similar to the teapot, or clay with over-pot handle, or like the Forlife Curve or Brown Betty teapots. Where do you find teapots in the Seattle area?

I’ve led a biomedical research lab as a PI at an academic medical center in the Midwest for more than 10 years. My family recently relocated to in Seattle, and I hope to join them as soon as possible. I’d like to move beyond day-to-day bench research and explore roles where I could use my experience leading scientific teams, managing complex projects, and coordinating collaborations. I also recently earned my PMP. I’m considering areas such as scientific program management, research operations, partnerships, and science-related strategy. For people familiar with Seattle’s job market, what kinds of roles, sectors, or local professional communities would you suggest I look into? Thanks!

Just wondering how much at people paying for internet and what plan/ISP they use I am on Xfinity and pay $52 for 1G download 35 mbps upload. I used to pay $50 for 300Mbps down/10mbps up ~3 years back when I first moved in but they kept increasing the price until I found Ziply was offering 1G for $50, told comcast I plan to leave and they immediately give me my current offer. How much are other folks paying?
