Hello! I am looking for dinner recommendations for my birthday in few weeks. I am vegetarian but the whole menu need not be plant based as my partner is on the meat wagon. We are willing to spend a pretty penny but are not millionaires so no totals that include commas…. Really just looking for a good reason to dress nice and celebrate 27 years of me. I am shocked how xenophobic and racist this place is. I called them to ask if they had any job opening for cleaning or for a general help, because my mom was a successful Commercial cleaning business owner, she did manage her business for over 25 years and I some times helped her, and now she wants to slow down. On the phone I explained that my mom doesn't speak a lot of English, so I was wondering if they needed a cleaning person, help with organization, help in general where she didn't need to interact directly with the parents. The lady on the phone was extremely rude, telling me in a rude way that they don't have this position and "even if we had, she would need to pass a background check and be able to work legally and present documents". My mom is a USA citizen, with 25 years of registered business, she is retiring now, I told the lady that, she said: "having a green card doesn't mean anything, she needs to be able to pass a background check and show documentation" Did she listen to anything I said, or she just heard "immigrant = criminal"? After reviewing some of the reviews on Google I can see how this place functions, a lot of people had the same experience, some said they are bullies. People from other countries are still humans. People of other countries can pass background checks, pay taxes and have a citizenship in this country. People from other countries have history here in the USA as well. Legal Immigrants looking for job can own houses, and have everything here. That phone call was the most unfortunate phone call I ever experienced. As an education place, we would hope for: People with education, manners and open minded. That was an interesting experience with that organization, and it is sad to see where we are right now. A simple: "unfortunately we don't have any opening, but thanks for calling" would have been sufficient, and life would go on.

My kid wants a photo of a k-pop star on their birthday cake. I created a unique image of the guy because I could foresee Safeway or QFC whining about copyright. So Admiral Safeway took my order, then called me 10 minutes later to tell me they couldn’t make the cake because ChatGPT told them it was copyrighted. I calmly explained that I made the image, it cannot be copyrighted. Also, using a tool that itself has arguably perpetrated the largest systematic copyright theft of all time to ask about copyrights is ridiculous. But no dice, ChatGPT said so! So long story short, Safeway and ChatGPT are conspiring to ruin my kids’ birthday 😂 Can anyone recommend a non-corporate bakery in WS that won’t ask ChatGPT permission to make my cake?

Searching for a doctor that tests for hyperosmia, an acute sensitivity to smells. ENTs or neurologists typically administer these tests, my GP does not. It looks like a pretty simple test - would love a few recommendations if anyone’s had this done in Seattle with a doctor they would recommend!
