My teen is going to be a senior next year and I want to get his photos booked relatively soon so we can work with a specific type of photographer. So what I'm wondering is: Do you know of any LGBTQIA+ (preferably trans or has a ton of experience with trans kiddos) photographers in the area who do senior photos and take amazing pictures? I want someone who's going to make him feel comfortable in front of the camera and won't bat an eye (or better yet, has personal experience) with him being trans. If there aren't any openly trans photographers, I'd be super happy with someone from the LGBTQIA+ community, too :) Thanks!

I am hoping to start a new lease coming up soon, I’ve had pretty bad experiences and I am wondering if anyone has had a great experience in the Seattle area that they could tell me about!?

My fiancé and I are looking to elope next month tentatively around November 14. Looking for a photographer, just 1-2 hours. We’d prefer to stay under $800 if possible! I am currently pregnant and so we are keeping the ceremony small, quick and simple (just my mom, my brother, SIL and their toddler son in addition to myself and my fiancé). Looking for photos highlighting the ceremony, some couples photos (maybe even a few we can use for a pregnancy announcement too) and a few pictures with family. We were looking at the State Capitol Building in Olympia but open to any recommendations in Tacoma too!

911 is obviously the emergency default but for seniors living alone in seattle there is a big gap between "call 911 during a crisis" and "have a daily safety plan that catches problems before they become crises" The city has some senior services through the aging and disability services office but the wait times and availability are inconsistent, and most of it is designed for people who already qualify for specific programs rather than the general population of elderly residents who just need a basic safety net For seniors who are not in crisis but live alone and could be at risk the options in the seattle area are surprisingly thin compared to what you would expect from a city this size Plus, I travel a lot for work and leave my parents on their own.

Hi! Might be looking for a new vet to start taking my 1 year old cats (two of them) in the north seattle area preferably greenlake/fremont/ballard/roosevelt/northgate-ish areas and seeing conflicting reviews online disturb me of my current vet. Their first visit was great but another time it didn’t seem so awesome anymore as well. I just want to take them in for their checkup while I use these insurance benefits for the year and make sure it’s thorough not just a heartbeat scan and send them on their way. Please let me know where to avoid and where you had a good experience with vets and the front desk who care, thank you!
