Does anyone have any leads for a 2br anything in Seattle? Furnished finders, Facebook, and zillow are a bust. Will be there for 3 months for a Nursing contract with a possibility of extending. Any help appreciated!

Hey Everett fam. Looking for a tasty lunch and craving a rueben sandwich, I looked online and dialed up the local Irish pub. I called to place my order and the guy who answered sounded friendly but kinda sad.??? It seems there's some type of equipment malfunction and they are closed today. A bar closed on Sunday when the Seahawks are playing. Still having to answer the phone and retell the story over and over.... That's harsh. Sounds like they sure could use some love when things get back online. Does anyone have the details on their Reuben??
I have been living in the Seattle area for over a decade now. I fell in love with the weather, the nature, and everything felt right. I have never seriously considered moving. For a little background, I am Indian, gay, in my mid-40s, and single. And yes, I work in tech and am on a visa. And before you ask why I don’t just go back to my home country, here are the reasons: I’m gay, and I don’t feel safe being openly gay back home; I don’t have much family there to reconnect with; and, honestly, I am done with the perpetual hot, and sunny weather. Seattle’s gloomy weather is one of the main reasons I love it here! I recently became active on Reddit, which has, in a way, made me question my view of Seattle as a blue, progressive place where everyone is welcome, especially LGBTQ folks like me. Since joining Reddit, I’ve noticed how much people here seem to despise people like me, i.e., Indians in tech. It won’t matter to share how hard I’ve worked to get where I am today, but I’ll say this: I built this life against all odds and through challenges I’ve had to overcome, and I’m damn good at what I do and have the receipts to prove it. I’m shaken by the possibility that, in the eyes of some Americans, I’m an unwanted outsider. Seeing the amount of hate in some of the local threads has also made me think about my future elsewhere. I’ve never yearned for acceptance or needed to be liked. But the possibility of being despised or hated simply for where I come from or what I look like doesn’t sit well with me. I’m genuinely interested in hearing your perspectives, even if they challenge mine. Please be honest: Am I reading too much into what I’m seeing on Reddit, or am I reading too much into what I’m seeing? Just to be clear, I’m not afraid or scared. It’s more of a nagging feeling, and I wanted to hear other people’s perspectives. To be honest, I can understand and empathize with some of the concerns and frustrations that lead people to oppose immigration or criticize the tech industry, even if I don’t agree with all of them. P.S: If you think I should leave, resist the urge to comment. I think I’ve already heard that perspective enough.
Apparently you can’t just assume that everybody in line for the Seahawks game is familiar with the latest memes tearing up X and Reddit.

Hi Bellevue & Eastside folks! Posted recently on the AskSeattle subreddit and the post kinda blew up - I was expecting maybe a dozen or so replies and instead I got hundreds of them. Our Discord is now almost 270 people, with 240ish of them from Seattle/Bellevue. I'm wondering two things: Since we already have a good 40ish or so who are from Bellevue, are there others that would like to jump in on the fun with us? We've got about 50ish people altogether already playing the beta, and the rest will be joining us on the 4th of November when the game launches. Lmk if you'd like to come play in the comments? Horde / PVP Ruleset And... What places do you guys recommend we host our IRL gatherings up over for the Bellevue side? IRL hangouts and meetups are a cornerstone to our philosophy about the guild, so we need some good watering holes where we can get together, hangout, maybe some spots other than Zulu's (we love Zulu's, just looking for more options is all) that we can hang out and play some board games, etc. We've chatted about it quite a bit in the Discord and since the light rail runs across the lake now we think it'll be a lot easier to get folks from both sides of the water hanging out at each other's meetups, but as the organizer, I don't really know of many places over there - what places do y'all recommend? Thanks in advance, have a great Sunday!
Anyone know if Fed Way is initiating a ban on data centers? This seems like something we should get ahead of. They’re terrible for the environment, water, power grid, real estate value and noise. Communities that already have them are horrified by the reality of living near one. Anyone know if our city is addressing this yet? Or if they’re already in talks or agreements to build them here?
Ran into this happy and friendly birthday boy on the 2 line on my way to Capitol Hill.
