Hey all, my name is Steven and I own Turn 4 Detail, a local mobile car detailing company based in Kent, WA. I'm very passionate about the automotive industry and I love making cars look better than the day they took off the dealer lots. I specialize in paint corrections and ceramic coatings, helping restore dull, faded, or swirled paint and bringing back that glossy finish that makes your vehicle stand out. I also offer interior and exterior detailing for those looking to give their vehicle a full refresh! My mobile van carries its own water and electricity so I can perform a full detail almost anywhere that supports it. I'm extremely detail-oriented and take my time with every vehicle I work on. I take a lot of pride in what I do and my goal is always to make your vehicle look as good as possible. If your vehicle is needing a refresh or restoration, I'd love to help out and bring it back to life. Feel free to send me pictures of your vehicle and what you're looking to have done and I'll get you a free personalized quote! You can call/text me at 4253062183 or check us out at turn4detail.com Thanks for supporting local!

Hi, I don’t want to dox myself so I won’t share the details of which street it was or which neighborhood this happened in. I work at a small business and we don’t have a parking lot so we have to parallel park on the nearby street. This street is where we tell our customers to park, and the residents of the nearby homes/apartments also park there, so parking is in high demand and it can feel a little congested at certain parts of the street, but for years I’ve never had any issue with parking there. There are no signs, no red curb, absolutely zero indication that we can’t park there. Yesterday, October 9th, every single person on the street got a parking ticket. The really weird thing is, from discussing it with my coworkers, we all got tickets for different reasons. I got a ticket for expired tabs, stating they expired 06/2025, but my tabs don’t expire until 04/2027. It seems unlikely that could have been a typo on the officer’s part. My ticket didn’t even mention I’m also in trouble for parking there, just mentioned the tabs. My coworker, on the other hand, I think mentioned their ticket did directly mention they can’t park there. I know there can be cases where someone complains about congestion on a street and police come and ticket anyone there to clear it out, and they’ll give you infractions for anything they can think of since it’s not technically illegal to park there. But they didn’t even bother to ticket me for anything concrete? My tabs are displayed perfectly fine, and I always renew my registration in April every year. I'm not sure where they got June from. I hate it but I come from far away for work and public transport is not reliable enough for me to take it every day. We live in a car centric country, you can’t just ticket cars for bogus reasons and expect them to disappear. I ruled out that the ticket could be fraudulent, the number on the ticket is the correct Seattle Municipal Court number and the rest of it looks legit. Obviously I’m going to contest the ticket. I’m fairly young and I’m just confused how this can happen. If anyone more knowledgeable than me knows what the deal is, I’d appreciate any help clearing up my confusion. Mods, if anything in this post is against the rules feel free to remove.

I landed an interview for a Transit Operator with Metro! If anyone here works for Metro, or has any insight; what should i expect? How is the hiring process here? Should i keep my hopes up? Not sure how easy it is to land an interview with Metro here. I previously worked for UPS for 10 years so i have experience with bigger vehicles. I will be coming from out of state for this interview. (Plan on moving here, but looking for a job first)

Scrutiny of Senn stems from the searing resignation letter from the head of the agency's equity office and a complaint to the state Human Rights Commission from a former assistant secretary who said she was unfairly demoted. "It's been painfully clear that equity is NOT embodied here, neither are the operating principles by leadership at the highest echelon," wrote Colemon on Sept. 9 after serving nine months as director of the equity office. Colemon cited, for example, that an employee had repeatedly been called the N-word in the workplace, but the staff member's supervisor said to "suck it up." ~ The department runs child welfare, juvenile detention, and child care for low income families. An oversight board member had to raise this at a public meeting, because the agency's own equity office is where the complaint started and nine months was all it lasted.

Hey, I just had a lady reach out to me recently about a job assisting her with her dating business in Seattle. She seems very unorganized, showing signs of hyper criticism, micro managing & gaslighting. I just ran into someone who has worked for her and confirm a horrible experience with her of trying not to pay for work done by criticizing and low balling. Any of you guys had any experience this?

There are some people going door-to-door asking for voters by name to get them to vote today. If you try to send them away kindly, they will argue with you. So if you get a knock today, it may be them.

I discovered Thomas Hardy this year and am considering a quest to read all 14 of his published novels. I'd love to get a small group together for a one-time Victober meetup! The idea is to read the same Hardy novel, meet up for a meal somewhere in or near Seattle, and chat about the book and other literature we enjoy. Not sure if there's enough interest, but here it goes. I've read five Hardy novels so far, ranked by preference: 1.The Mayor of Casterbridge 2. Far from the Madding Crowd 3. A Pair of Blue Eyes 4. Tess of the d'Urbervilles 5. The Return of the Native I'm considering The Woodlanders next, but I'm open to other suggestions!

Notice you or your friends getting a drippier nose recently, or a slight cough? This year’s flu rates have spiked earlier than usual, as announced by Public Health – Seattle & King County, and COVID is still present. The Department published a graphic on Oct. 9 showing how flu rates in emergency department visits are spiking this month with a sharp rise in September. “In 2025, we didn’t get here until mid-December,” according to the graphic.
