I don't think there's really any need to preface this, l'm looking for a good, trustworthy (and hopefully not outrageously expensive) divorce attorney. We don't own our home and have one toddler. Snohomish county would be nice, but certainly not necessary. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone (and mods, feel free to remove if not allowed), I’m a new indie dance-pop artist based in Seattle getting ready to roll out my first 5 singles, and I’m looking to connect with a local photographer for a creative photoshoot in Seattle. What I’m looking for: Single/EP cover art for a few tracks (currently have 5 songs) and potentially promo stills for streaming platforms and social media. Vibe: High-energy, trendy/fashionable aesthetic, playful, fun, free Location: Open to cool urban spots around town (Cap Hill, SLU, downtown) or booking a simple studio space if needed. Deliverables: Ideally 15–20+ edited shots so I have variety across track rollouts, but open to discussing based on price and package structure. Since I’m just starting out, I don’t necessarily need someone with a massive commercial agency background. I’m very open to talented amateurs, students, or up-and-coming photographers who want to build their portfolio. That said, I'm also open to experienced pros if the rates align! If things work out on this project, I will definitely be needing more material for the additional songs I'm currently creating too! If this sounds like something you’d be interested in shooting, please DM me or drop your portfolio or Instagram link below.

Hi everyone, I’m a (brand) new indie music artist getting ready to rollout some music, and I’m trying to figure out where to look for local photographers or groups that would shoot single/EP cover art and creative promo portraits. I haven't had much luck finding dedicated local directories or creative rosters. Does anyone know of any local platforms, creative groups, campus boards, or specific Seattle communities where freelance and emerging photographers post their work? Would really appreciate any suggestions or pointers!

One of the board members of the Washington State Clemency and Pardons Board is deciding cases in which he has a relationship with the petitioner and/or witnesses for the petitioner. Example 1: The provost of the college that the board member works at testified as a witness. The petitioner described the board member as a mentor for a lot of the brothers. That board member with the relationship to the petitioner made the motion to recommend granting the commutation. (See the tvw.org video for the first petitioner during the Clemency and Pardons Board hearing at 9am on 12/7/23.) Example 2: The board member disclosed that he is acquainted with one of the witnesses who would appear and stated that he believed he could be fair. A witness testified on behalf of the petitioner; this witness has described himself as working for a nonprofit organization that the board member is President. This nonprofit is described as being "committed to the liberation" of specific communities; its President (as a board member) voted to recommend granting commutation. (See the tvw.org video for the first petitioner during the Clemency and Pardons Board hearing at 1pm on 9/8/23.) Do you think it is ethical or legal for this board member to have these ties with the petitioners and adjudicate their cases? Example 1 (with rough timestamps): https://tvw.org/video/washington-state-clemency-pardons-board-2023121144/?eventID=2023121144 Board member introduction: 3:05-3:20 Provost testimony: 25:45-26:00; 30:00-30:45 Mentor description: 1:29:20-1:30:30 Example 2 (with rough timestamps and links): https://tvw.org/video/washington-state-clemency-pardons-board-2023091122/?eventID=2023091122 Limited disclosure of acquaintance: 1:15-1:30 Witness testimony: 46:30-49:00 Witness working for non-profit as project manager: https://www.thenewstribune.com/opinion/article264620446.html Description of nonprofit: https://inatai.org/news/grantee/fabians-fund-2/ Leadership of nonprofit: https://inatai.org/team/kazi-joshua/

Took my pup for a stroll today and passed Habitat Beach near Pioneer Square. I was surprised to find it locked. It looked like a dead animal had washed ashore sadly. I tried my best to take a photo from a distance. Looks like a porpoise but I’m sure someone on here can identify it better than me. Anyone know what it is or what might have happened?
