Hey everyone! I’m visiting Washington for the first time in early November and I’m really excited for the trip. My current plan is: 2 days in Port Angeles 3 days in Seattle Planning to spend a good amount of time exploring Olympic National Park I’m looking for recommendations from locals or people who know the area well. I’d especially love to find local spots rather than the typical tourist recommendations. 🍴 Food What are some must-try restaurants or local food spots in Port Angeles and Seattle? I’m open to pretty much everything — seafood, burgers, Asian food, breakfast, hole-in-the-wall spots, nicer restaurants, bakeries, etc. I’d love to try food that feels unique to the area. ☕️ Coffe e I’m also a big coffee person, so I’d love recommendations for really good local coffee shops/roasters in both Port Angeles and Seattle. Bonus points for places that locals actually love rather than the obvious tourist spots! 🌲 Olympic National Park Since I’ll have 2 days based in Port Angeles, what are the must-see places in Olympic National Park in early November? I’m interested in: Beautiful viewpoints Short/moderate hikes Lakes Waterfalls Rainforest Beaches Scenic drives Any hidden gems I know November weather can be unpredictable, so I’m definitely looking for places that are realistic that time of year. 🌆 Seattle I’ll have about 3 days in Seattle. What are some local neighborhoods, restaurants, coffee shops, viewpoints, markets, or things to do that you think are actually worth my time? I’m definitely going to see some of the famous attractions, but I’d rather spend most of my time experiencing local Seattle . Also, if there are any seasonal November things I should check out, please let me know! Basically, if you were showing a friend around Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula for the first time, where would you take them? Would really appreciate any recommendations — especially the places that might not show up on the first page of Google. Thanks! 🙏

Hey everyone! I have been looking for a new kick boxing class. I would prefer one that is geared more towards women and offers evening classes. Does anyone have a favorite spot?
Hi! Travel nurse here moving to the Kirkland area to work at evergreen. I’m from the east coast and know nothing about the different neighborhoods. I’m looking for a place to live now and want to make sure it’s a good fit (my current housing situation is a nightmare and don’t want to make that mistake again) I know Kirkland is a nice place to live but wanted to broaden my search a little to make sure I really like where I’ll be staying. I’m single f in my 30s. It’s just myself and my dog so having a park/trails nearby would be great. Id be open to like a 30 min commute max but the shorter the better - my hours are 7a-7:30p. Also prefer an area that’s semi walkable. Sorry if this is an annoying post but would appreciate any advice :) Edit: I prefer apartments over single family homes, we don’t need that much space. And budget is ~ $2500 but could go up to $3k
I was at the mall today and found on my way to the restrooms in the food court, the hallway appears to be under surveillance by a camera that shows some kind of face detection. Is this an AI enabled camera? Is it Flock or similar? If so, I don't think we should be using this technology. Regular CCTV should be good enough to audit any criminal activity.
I was walking by, couple police officers were arresting someone. Anyone know the context?
even a mundane view like disembarking from the train at King Street shows the beauty of the city. my friend said that the photo looks like something out of Batman’s Gotham.
This Friday, while driving towards l Bellevue Botanical Garden, I saw a woman walking down around evening time (7/7:30ish) and slapping continuously on her face - I just hope she is okay and maybe find peace or whatever she wants! I was quite disturbed by seeing her in that state! :) Take care!!
Hi! Looking for rooftop bar recommendations. Preferably with a good view, high floor. Will be for my partners birthday. I’ve read some of the popular ones, but reviews are mixed. The only place we have done is Columbia Tower. I’m looking for something on the more chill side, thanks!
Someone in the Seattle Page told me to post this here, I am thinking about moving to seattle for college, and had a few questions. Do you think It would be realistic to afford living on my own w/o a job lined up, Ill have money saved, but no job secured. It would be a great move for what I want in my career, but obv not smart if I can't afford it. The tuition is no problem , i'm more worried about rent and other cost of living. Any advice would help, my other options are LA and Dallas. Thanks (18M)
