"I'm in Edmond, SD and planning to enroll my child in elementary school in another better school district due to personal issues. What criteria should I evaluate when selecting a school beyond just checking enrollment capacity? Also, what are the best sources to verify school capacity?

I currently go to Be Yoga Burien, which is super convenient for me and which I used to love but I’m starting to feel is no longer the right fit. While there are a couple of vinyasa classes I absolutely love, they’ve made lot of changes lately that I’m not a huge fan of. They’ve transitioned a lot of their class schedule to barre and pilates, and a couple of very hot classes (100-103 degree) have replaced some of the lower temp (90-95 degree) vinyasa classes I used to enjoy taking. I started doing yoga with BYB when I moved to WA and am not familiar with other studios in the area, so I’m hoping to draw on other’s experiences and recommendations! I’m specifically interested in fast paced/athletic vinyasa ~95 degrees and cooler, restorative yin, and hatha but am open to other types too! I currently pay $139 for a monthly membership and wouldn’t want to spend much more. Thanks in advance for recs!

Workers at the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1576, which represents bus drivers, dispatchers and maintenance employees at the Snohomish County transit agency, will receive a 5% retroactive pay increase for 2025, a 4% increase for 2026 and a 4% increase in 2027. Community Transit had initially proposed pay raises of 2.5% per year, according to union officials. Members of the union held informational pickets in July, calling for better wages and more safety investments for drivers. ~ Twenty months of bargaining and a picket line is what moved 2.5% a year to 5, 4 and 4. Nobody at that table volunteered the difference.

I’m wondering if anyone has a parking spot available around SeaTac (doesn’t have to be glued to it) or around any terminal. I need to travel for 20ish days and the parking fees are outrageous. If anybody wants a little extra money, hit me up. (Oct 17-Nov 3)

Hello everyone! I’m graduating in April with a Ph.D. in urban planning. I study maritime geography and have GIS skills and experience researching ports as part of my dissertation. If you know of any jobs at the Port of Seattle or Tacoma that need an urban port planner with waterfront planning, mapping, efficient transportation, and sustainable land-use expertise, please reach out. Thanks!

I'm moving to Seattle in about a month and have been looking at apartments in Roosevelt in Northgate. I can't go up and visit until then and I was wondering if the apartments I have my eye on will remain vacant long enough to tour in person, or if I should just try to apply now?
