I've visited a couple times now (recently went again end of September) and I genuinely enjoy it. The vibes are pretty nice, lots of things to do, living close to beaches (missing that right now in NorCal) and I already have friends there but I didn't have any issues with socializing ( I am 26m if that matters). For getting a job here how did that work for you moving from a different state? How has it worked with interviews? I know the job market is abysmal but how is it in social services? I work in social services and will have about 4 years of experience (care coordinator and SUD counseling) plus my sociology degree (I do plan to purse a masters in human services when I finally settle) so I'm hoping that can get me in the door with something at least $25/hr which is my current pay. I am also looking into income restricted housing preferably one bedrooms. If I have to I'll resort to a room but I am taking my staffy up here so I have to be conscious about that. TIA

Iykyk. Maple pass trailhead got every single Seattle person even though i reached at 7am 😭 To parallel park decently i had to park a mile away from trailhead only to find out after returning that the tight spots have been taken like this Lesson learned
Anyone have any of these books sitting on their shelf after finishing them? 📚 I’m looking for: Siddhartha Man’s Search for Meaning The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari Jonathan Livingston Seagull The Little Prince The Prophet The Power of Now The Untethered Soul If you’re done with any of them and don’t plan on rereading, I’d be happy to give them a second life! Just DM me with the place and time, and I can come pick them up. 🙂

Created a FB group to help organize pick up soccer on Squak Mt. I live about 3 mins from Hillside Park and people tell me it's rarely used. Anyone down to organize a Sunday pick up soccer group each week? I know people play up in the Highlands at Central Park but this could be for folks who don't wanna make the drive up there each week. It's also kid friendly as the park has a play set. Anyone down??? Guys/Gals welcome Fyi, 46 yo guy here with 3 kids and a soccer playing wife
Any local stores on the east side that sell good salty black licorice? Or general Nordic foods? I used to go with my grandma to Ballard back in the day for finnish treats, but I dont think those places are around anymore and I also dont feel like driving that far.
Hey everyone! Just moved to Seattle a few weeks ago and was wondering what everyone thought of the mayor/current administration? View Poll
Rant! It's almost 10pm and you can call me old but I can't tell you how many times some jackass is out there revving the shit out of their engine on Marketplace. It makes me jump and wakes up my toddler (which pisses me off more than anything else...). But really I just want to know why? Why is it necessary??? You sound like an asshole!!!
I’ve up my federal funding and am short on funding. Unfortunately I’m not eligible for the grad plus loan (as a graduate student) anymore as my field was cut from being a “professional” program.
