I'm visiting the city from California. I'm staying near the corner of Spring and 4th. I plan on trying Biscuit Bitch for breakfast unless someone can talk me out of it with a better suggestion. We already had Bocca Café and it did not disappoint. We're open to suggestions.

Was using Snapchat and noticed it showed my location as “hipster hill”. That term/place doesn’t show up on my maps app or in any google search. Does anyone know what that title refers to or if there’s some history about it? Context: I live in cap hill. Afaik it’s always been called that (?)

Any local stores on the east side that sell good salty black licorice? Or general Nordic foods? I used to go with my grandma to Ballard back in the day for finnish treats, but I dont think those places are around anymore and I also dont feel like driving that far.

Looking for some chill fall vibes at a local park or walkable neighborhood, ideally within 1 hour driving around Seattle or Eastside. Bonus if it has water views. And/or cute shops with fall decor. I’d like to take my mom to see fall colors, but keep it as stress free as possible in terms of driving and parking as I think everyone has the same idea this weekend. Where would you recommend checking out?

Thinking about doing a late night run to Beth’s for an omelette… has anyone gone recently, late at night? Is it still pretty solid? I know they just went back to 24 hours - the last time I went at like 2 AM, I was definitely… not in the headspace to judge the food lol. Trying to decide if it’s worth it to get in the car and go or just sit this one out 🙃

Does volunteer park have rental racquets? Or, where is a good place to go to try out tennis for the first time? Ideally Cap hill, or U district area, but if it's accessible from the 1 line then elsewhere is good. Also wondering how the reliability is if we're not reserving and planning to play Tuesday night. Thanks!

A guy I know recently got into supportive housing after being on the street for a long time. He has a cat and he's looking for free food and other pet supplies. Any ideas? And if you have some to give, let me know and I can get it to him.

Hey everyone, just moved to capitol hill and wondering if theres any kind of chess club or chess events nearby? Would love to help organize one if not! I feel like if volunteer park had some of those nice chess tables that’d be amazing.
