Hey Tacoma! I want to organize a group where each week, we take turns teaching a practical skill to the group. People could sign up to lead on different weeks. These skills could range from hemming clothes, to tying knots, to changing a tire, and beyond. You most likely have at least one skill that others would benefit from learning, and if you don’t, you could come to practice something here! Please let me know if this sounds interesting to you!

The review by the Office of Inspector General warned that police and city leaders failed to set basic standards before connecting private business and property feeds into the Seattle Police Department's Real Time Crime Center. In August, police confirmed to auditors that they intend to accept integrations from any volunteering business across Seattle, and mapping revealed that the department had already activated two Capitol Hill private camera sites beginning in 2025. Meanwhile, a report by the City Auditor found that the Seattle Department of Transportation accidentally handed police access to technical roadway detection cameras that were not supposed to be shared. SDOT is now attempting to revoke police access to those internal streams. ~ The rules arrive in March 2027. The cameras arrived in 2025.

I drive UBER in the morning which takes me all over the region but it also shows me parts of Everett that I have never seen in my twenty years living here. This morning I was going down an alley between Colby and Norton in the Port Gardner Neighborhood when I saw this dwelling. Does anyone know anything about it? I asked a life long Everett resident and she didn’t have a story but knew exactly where it was. Just curious, my rider said the guy that lives there jams out on guitar all the time.

I've ordered a boat load of native plants to be picked up tomorrow, along with the rest of Tacoma. I've been there before, but don't remember much about the process except that parking was horrid. I have my own boxes. What are some tips, etiquette, etc. that will help me get out of there quickly and without too many angry people around me?

I don't usually do this sort of thing but I visited Starbucks at Pike Place today and was blown away by the customer service of Aaron. We spoke for quite some time about life and the Seahawks and he kindly gave me a free bag of coffee beans. I was so struck by his kindness and sincerity that I wanted as many people to know as possible. I tried to see if there was any social media for the store directly but I couldn't find anything however if someone if aware of any contact details for them I'd love to send the this amazing feedback directly to make management aware of what an amazing human being they have there.
