So I need to renew my state ID and I can't do it online, probably because it's time to get a new photo taken (this doesn't feel good btw). I try to set up an appointment and only the Tukwilla site has an opening available and it's November 30th. They say on the website not to do walk ins because it's unlikely you'll be seen. Is it really the case that nobody in king country can get a new driver's license or ID or anything for two months? How can this be? Am I missing something? We need identification to live our lives. I even need a valid ID to register for a dev account on Steam and this is blocking that.

Hey! I'm from Idaho and I love to drag my car, I was curious if y'all knew of any drag racing events happening later this month or November? My DA(density altitude) is quite high here I was wanting to try it in Seattle where the DA is low or even negative! So yeah, if anyone knows of any events please let me know
We live on a more narrow street in Lakewood. Cars are parked on one side of the street and then none on the other. I always thought that the normal etiquette was the person on the side with cars, should let the other car pass because they have more space to move over (ex. Find an open spot to briefly stop). However, barely anyone seems to follow that rule and I feel like my car is going to ran off the road or get swiped from the side. Any insight would be appreciated. I feel silly asking this question lol.
Please share everywhere to everyone!!! STOP SEXUAL VIOLENCE - SEATTLE Gender Equity Movement is organizing a rally and march as part of Women's March's National Day of Action to Stop Sexual Violence on Thursday, October 8th, 2026. Throughout the history of the US, for too long women have been abused in every way imaginable. From powerful men who believe they have a right to the lives and dignity of others, to the very systems that are supposed to hold our society together. After the report from Cornell University, after the Epstein files, after the experiences we have had and heard from all of our friends and family, we have been fighting. Now, we will be joining the many other organizations fighting for women around the country for a national day of action. From the Frat house to the White House, end sexual violence! Oct. 8th, join us at the Henry M Jackson Federal Building at 6:30pm and take to the streets! Let our voices continue to rise and fight with us! What to bring with you: Please consider wearing teal colored clothing, teal ribbons, and/or carrying signs saying "I am Jane Doe."
student at DIT, looking for weekend hikes around seattle. Can’t get rental car bc it requires credit card and I have debit. If anyone is going on weekend hikes in the area, let me know :) I will pay what the rental normally would cost ($50/ day I believe) but price negotiable! 😃
I'm moving to Seattle soon and will be commuting from there to Eastgate. I'd like a place that is close to i90, which I can figure out on my own, but I'm mostly looking for insight on what a good area would be to avoid heavy traffic as much as I can. I'd also like to be close to bars and restaurants if possible. It'd be a studio or 1 bedroom, budget up to 2k a month, parking and in unit laundry would be nice luxuries.
Not exactly Shoreline but close enough. I am thinking of getting an annual membership ($60, can bring up to 4 people per visit) to Dunn Gardens, which is in NW Seattle (Broadview), based on the reviews and the fact I enjoy walking around gardens. However it's pretty small (7.5 acres). If you have visited, do you think it's worth that price? Probably not much to see in winter but I can see myself going in spring, fall and summer. For me it's 30 mins round trip of driving to get there, which I'm also factoring in.
I'm due to renew my lease very soon. My apartment is trying to increase my rent by 9.6%. I would like to bring that down to something like 5%ish What are some good negotiation tactics? I have looked at comparable units and they are similarly priced. The unit right above mine has been in the market for months now and is currently priced like 5 dollars below my renewal rate. Also, is it better to do this in person or through email?
A new maritime-themed mural featuring a working fishing vessel is proposed for the south wall of the Hansen Building on Ballard Avenue.
Hello! Me and my girlfriend are wanting to connect with fellow lesbians as we don’t know any others. Is there any 18+ or all ages events happening in Seattle? We’re both still 20 so unfortunately cannot hit up the bars yet.
