Hey there! This is Mel from Canine Cuts & Artistry LLC, located on 14th off Roxbury, next to your favorite natural pet supply place, A Dog's Dream! This is a friendly reminder to get your dog's appointments booked *immediately* because the holidays will be here before you realize and then every shop will be too full to get you in! Whoever your groomer is, make sure you're booked through December! BUT.... if you need a groomer or double-coat deshedder..... Please call or text us, Canine Cuts & Artistry LLC, at 206.672.3342 to book an appointment with us! We offer a one-to-one, hand-tailored grooming experience, which is perfect for the anxious, elderly, and all the puppies (please we need to see more puppies!). But of course, most* dogs are welcome! Lakota grooms the ones under 30 lbs, and it's a team effort with her and I for anything larger than that! Either way, your dog gets our full attention for their full groom or styling! Lakota has 15 years of experience, is a certified esthetician [skin/hair], is a certified Opawz Dye Specialist, and has placed in competitions. She has a holistic way of handling pups, which is ideal for the ones that need special handling. Her career has been focused around Pomeranians, Schnauzers, and Shih Tzus, but all types of dogs are welcome. Her insta . I have been bathing for eight years with a focus on deshedding those double coats. If my Samoyed clients can't convince you, I don't know who can. I've had four on my schedule already! My favorites are corgis, golden retrievers, great pyrenees, burnese mountain dogs, and those samoyeds! Here's my insta . Here's the results if you Google us But, I've attached some of our recent grooms and our QR code which will start a text message for you to send to us. Please heed my advice and get your dogs booked for the last three months of the year! Get them cleaned and styled for those family visits and photos! *sorry, no aggressive or XXL dogs.

I got a bunch of responses with interest, and someone was able to pick up the harvest at the time. I just went around back and picked up the current ground scores off the ground and gathered them up. I've sent out messages to everyone who expressed interest via DMs last week, so I'm giving them first dibs and just sent out the info about picking them up. But there will be more, and I will be adding to the bins over the next few days. So if you have interest, DM me and we'll see what we have left tomorrow. Also, there are more in the trees, so I may arrange an active harvest this weekend, if there is interest and we can work it out.

Starting Thursday, Seattleites will be able to order two limited-edition collaboration pizzas topped with Pacific Northwest culinary cult delicacies: Taco Time Northwest and Ivar’s clam chowder. You read that right: Seattle-based Pagliacci will roll out a Taco Time Pizza with hot sauce, pico de gallo and other taco fixings at all of its pizzerias from Oct. 1-27. Local pizza chainlet Big Mario’s, meanwhile, announced its seafood-covered Clam Chowder Bread Bowl Pizza in collaboration with Ivar’s, available at all Big Mario’s locations Oct. 1-31.

Disclosure first: I help organize this through U District Advocates, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) in the University District. Friday October 2 at The Square at U District Station, 4301 Brooklyn Ave NE. Robert Leslie at 4:30 PM, REPOSADO at 6:00 PM, then Ferris Bueller's Day Off on the outdoor screen at dusk, around 7:30. The 4:30 start is earlier than our other nights, so worth noting if you have been to one before. Free, no tickets. A block from the U District light rail entrance, so no parking required. The Square is a hardscape plaza, not a lawn. We set out 50 chairs on a first come basis, so bring a low chair or a cushion if you want a guaranteed seat. High-back chairs block sightlines, so please leave those at home. One more after this. Clueless with Carrie Jennings was rained out last Friday and is rescheduled to Friday October 9. Funded by 4Culture of King County and Amazon. Movie screened by Scarecrow Video. outdoors.udistrict.org
