I am diagnosed schizoaffective bipolar type, and while I've found stability in my life, if, god forbid, something happens and I need to be hospitalized again, I'd like to be able to keep my cellphone. I know that usually people say that cellphones are detrimental to recovery, but I generally have good insight when I'm psychotic, and I have friends that I can only contact through discord that I'd like to be able to stay in contact with. I know that Swedish Edmonds allows you to use your cell at the desk to send quick texts or get passwords or 2FA codes and stuff, but I want to be able to have my phone with me to talk to people. P.S. If anyone finds this thread in the future searching for similar facilities, if you can help it don't go to South Sound or Smokey Point. They're both bad.

I recently completed a Medical Assistant program and passed my NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. I am not Washington certified yet but i only need 160hrs externship to be able to apply for the certification. I’m trying my luck if there’s anyone who can be my referral or can help me get into the industry. I’ve been applying online. I also applied for Patient care coordinator/Medical Receptionist. Is it better if I go in person? Do you have any advice how to easily get in?

I used to get my eyebrows waxed at the Ulta Beauty Benefit Brow Bar in Factoria, and my stylist was Celena. At some point, I noticed she was no longer there, so I called and found out that she had left. Does anyone know where she’s working now or where I might be able to get her services? I’d really love to see her again! If anyone has recommendations for a good eyebrow-waxing stylist around Bellevue or Factoria, I’d appreciate those too!

Thinking about buying home in the area. I have an infant. Has anyone dug into the airport pollution and adverse effects on health? I have read studies from UW, but many are left open indicating more research is needed. Would love to hear from folks who are knowledgeable about the science.

Willow has been missing for almost a week, and we’re hoping our neighbors can help us find him. Willow primarily hangs around the 59th Ave & 17th St area. He’s very friendly and well-known around the neighborhood — so many of our neighbors love him and are familiar with him. We haven’t seen him in several days, which is very unusual for him. If you live nearby, please keep an eye out around your yard, garage, shed, porch, or under decks. If you’ve seen Willow recently or have any information, please comment below or send me a message. Please share this post with anyone in the area. We just want to get our boy home safely.

ICE enforcement sightings reported on Iceout.org have doubled to around 30 a day in the Puget Sound area in September. These numbers are TWICE as much as Southern California and the NY/NJ area. I understand that advocacy exhaustion exists, but our neighbors are getting snatched off the street just on the way they look. We are being for being a haven to immigrants and their families. What happened to blocking their exit in the mornings, protests over the freeways, and responses like in Chicago or Charlotte that forced them to leave. I implore those of you with money and time to stop this madness. They are doing it quietly so white folks remain in the unnoticed. From someone who cannot safely do it themselves, Help please.

SEATTLE — Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community leaders, health care providers and advocates will gather today, Thursday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Hing Hay Park to demand immediate action as approximately 11,000 Washington immigrants and refugees lose Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage. Federal changes taking effect October 1 eliminate Medicaid eligibility for many lawfully present immigrants, including some refugees and asylees. While these cuts originate at the federal level, community leaders say Washington state, King County and the City of Seattle must do more to ensure affected residents do not lose access to essential health care. Speakers will call on government leaders to identify who is losing coverage, provide emergency resources and a clear path to continued health care, expand multilingual enrollment and health care navigation, and support trusted community organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities. Community leaders will also call for disaggregated AANHPI data to better understand which communities are being affected. Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities encompass dozens of distinct ethnicities, languages and immigration histories, yet are frequently grouped together in government data. “We know 11,000 people are losing health coverage. We need to know who they are, which communities are being hit hardest, and what the government is going to do for the people being left behind.” SPEAKERS State Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos — 37th Legislative District Kendee Yamaguchi— Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) La‘i King — Pacific Islander Health Board of Washington Amy Leong — Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) Sili Savusa — Executive Director, Pacific Islander Community Association of Washington

My partner and I are both wanting to get a massage, I was hoping to find somewhere that offers couples massages but I’m not having luck finding this. Is it uncommon here or does anyone have any recommendations in West Seattle (or beyond if it’s just not a thing locally)?
