Mayor Cassie Franklin is proposing a new economic investment package named “Everett Forward,” which was designed to provide meaningful relief for thousands of small businesses and retailers while making strategic investments to strengthen Everett’s economy for the long term. The proposed changes to the City of Everett’s Business & Occupation (B&O) tax structure will be briefed at today’s City Council. Everett’s B&O tax structure has not been substantially updated since 2002. The proposed reform would significantly increase the exemption for small businesses, lower the tax rate for retailers and restaurants, and update rates across other business classifications.

Hello all, I will be moving to Seattle tomorrow! I am also a filmmaker and I am looking for a great nature location for a film. The idea is an alien forest (or snowcapped mountain, or waterfront, anywhere that looks like totally untouched nature.) I have looked into both Mt. Rainier and Olympic National Park, I was just wondering if anyone knew any hidden gems closer to the city? Anything at all helps a lot, thanks! Glad to be moving out to the Pacific Northwest!

I’m looking for recommendations for movies filmed in Seattle between the 70s and 90s. I just finished Trouble in Mind with Kris Kristopherson and the gritty “Rain City” noir vibe was captivating. It was really fun to try to figure out where they were filming. looking for more like this.

This was already posted, but since we are a whole street that takes care of this outdoor cat - wanted to send another message to the universe. We as a 59th street community have been taking care of this cat since last september when his owner abandoned him from my apartment complex. We as a group attempted to take him in, we confirmed he was neutered, got him vaxxed up, chipped, and he has medical insurance. WE LOVE THIS CAT! If anyone at all sees him, please reach out to myself, or the other poster - as we are all in communication. We understand cats should be indoors, but he was a man who has lived his street life, and we could not convert him - but have done the BEST to make sure he lives a happy and health life. We love Old Man Willow - please let us know if you see him. He goes down to Ballard Market - and Up to 65th at times Neighbors - do not click on my profile, you will be upset.

I’ll be in Seattle in a few weeks for work. I’m currently staying at Hotel Andra which seems like it’s in between bell town and downtown, is that good? Ive heard mixed things about being downtown so I was considering switching. For ease though, I will need to be near downtown one day, and SLU another day for meetings. I will also have about a full day and a few mornings to myself. It’s my first time in Seattle so I was hoping to make the most of it. I love exploring, walking around, and a bit of nature. I’m not super into touristy things with lines. Any advice on how to spend my free time? Down to spend a bit of money for tickets to a show or game if there’s a nice venue to check out. Unfortunately there are no football or hockey games when I’ll be in town. Lastly, I’ll be 2 days post-running a marathon, so am open to the idea of getting a massage or partial spa day when I have time. If you have a recommendation, would love to hear that!

I recently completed a Medical Assistant program and passed my NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. I am not Washington certified yet but i only need 160hrs externship to be able to apply for the certification. I’m trying my luck if there’s anyone who can be my referral or can help me get into the industry. I’ve been applying online. I also applied for Patient care coordinator/Medical Receptionist. Is it better if I go in person? Do you have any advice how to easily get in?
