Hey everyone! Trying to decide where to go this weekend for larches and could use some advice from people who have been out recently. I’m currently considering: - Cutthroat Lake - Blue Lake - Rainy Lake - Swauk Forest Discovery Trail The main goal is seeing really good fall color/larches , but I’m also going with a friend who has type I diabetes, so I don’t want to pick something unnecessarily difficult or risky if conditions are getting snowy/icy. For anyone who has been to any of these recently: - How are the larches looking right now? Which one is closest to peak yellow? - Has there been any snow on the trails yet? - Are there icy/snowy sections or anything else to be aware of? - How would you compare the difficulty/effort between these? If you had to pick one for good larches + manageable hiking conditions , which would you go with?

(Also that home button is in the wrong building I do NOT live above Dave and Buster's I live on top of Fogo De Chão tyvm 😂 And yes I found the precinct map and drew out the lines on a regular map cauuuuuuuuse the official one is hard to read)
I have always been drawn to the PNW despite never having visited. I was finally able to visit Seattle and to be honest it felt like a place I could call home. A bit of context regarding me, I am 24 year old queer black woman working as an engineer. I have been overall struggling with finding community. I want to be around people building unconventional careers, people deeply involved in art/music/community, queer people, kinky people, childfree people, people who move around, people who don't center marriage, people who have unconventional households, people who are intensely social without their lives revolving around a nuclear family. I have known I wanted to leave the small town I am in eventually but my workload has increased to 60+ hours a week with consistent weekend work, being on call always, only having Sunday off. It is DESTROYING the little bits I was enjoying about the area. I barely have time to think clearly, never mind prep for an interview. I am burnout. Options: Very big chance this gets denied, but ask manager to work remotely. I have 15k saved now and despite all the tech layoff in Seattle, save 5-10k more and move anyways. Get a private room and look for a job. With that amount I could cover a move and 6-8 months of expenses. I have a masters degree in engineering and 3 yoe. Just try as much as humanly possible to set harsher boundaries, and try another find a job even if I get depressed from my life boiling down to just working and applying. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I'm in my 20s and new to the area. Not old enough for bars tho...I'm just looking for places I can go to socialize and make friends. No high pressure environments. I've always been a misfit, I'm an alternative person in general. Groups of people my age kinda scare me because I tend not to fit in. I had a friend group years ago and it was great being close nit with a group, but it fell apart and I moved away. Anyways enough rambling, it's a bad look posting this on Reddit but I could use some advice or connections from people in the area.
Very sweet bully mix found near Pratt Park today (9/30) around noon. No collar but he’s clean and sort of knows at least the idea of commands. So, liiiiike maybe he got a fam??? BIG puppy energy.
I'm currently struggling at finding a robust service for roommate searching in this area. Was wondering what others in the area have found that had worked well for them.
hi, title explains it all really. i need to find a restaurant where ‘they throw all the stuff on the table and everyone eats off it’. they probably want to go to the crab pot but id prefer something else if at all possible. any other options?
Edit: just wanted to say thanks for all the recommendations. Even you guys just throwing things out there not only gives me ideas, but gives me an indirect sense of support. Thank you so much guys. Hey guys. Was supposed to go on a really cool date with this really amazing person today but things got cancelled 🫤 And I do understand, but I wont lie and act like im not bummed out. I dont know, I really dont go out much. I just work and workout and tend to myself at home 99% of the time. But I still want to do something with the day I planned. What are things I can do solo in the seattle area (or north of seattle) to help get me out of my head? I dont drink so bars are out of the question. I know theres probably better subreddits to post in, but with a fresh account and alot of them having this karma requirement, I cant really post in them lol. Thanks in advance

I will be moving back to the Seattle metro in late April, but I am looking to rent a house or townhouse - no apartments/condos. I'm not quite sure where I'm going to rent at this point - I used to live in Issaquah. I want some place that has walkability, is safe, and pet friendly. Recommendations for reputable property management companies or where I can find private individuals who rent.
