Hey all. I moved out here fairly recently (couple years ago) and I’m wondering which Goodwills are the best in the area in your experience? I’ve had some luck with the one on NE 24th St, but it’s still not up to the same oomph as the Goodwills I’m used to in TN. I really wanna find some good (& cheap) Christmas decorations 😊🎄 but I also tend to look for dishes and furniture!

Between 2020 and 2026, Puget Sound Physicians failed to refund nearly $347,000 to more than 1,400 patients at Overlake in Bellevue who qualified for charity care. In recent years, Washington hospitals have paid out more than $1 billion in charity care annually, but there have still been several instances of major hospitals not providing the required discounts. Puget Sound Physicians has to track down patients' current addresses to mail them checks. If returned as undeliverable, the company has to call at least three times over the course of a month to get the correct address. If that's not successful, the company doesn't have to provide them a refund. ~ Six years of accounting errors and every one of them ran the same direction. The refund only happens if the company can still find you, and it took a state investigation to work out who was owed in the first place.

No Hate in WA State is an organization opposed to I-001 and I-638, two of the three terrible initiatives on the upcoming ballot. More info on these initiatives here . If you are opposed to these and would like to spread the word to Shoreline neighbors, please sign up for this door knocking event on Sunday, October 25 at 12:30pm. RSVP / more info: https://www.mobilize.us/nohateinwastate/event/1043766/ If you are nervous about knocking doors, don't be! You can go with a buddy, you do not need to be an expert, and most importantly, while you may go into it a little hesitant, you will come out feeling GREAT! There's nothing like talking with real people in real life and about real important stuff to get you out of the doom-and-gloom of too much news / internet scrolling / etc. Thanks for reading!

I usually don't have to turn on the heat till about November although for some reason it's felt colder in my apartment than previous years at the same time. I don't know why as it doesn't seem to reflect outdoor temperature. Curious if other people have turned it on yet and at what temperature do you usually start turning it on at?

A seller has an item I really want listed for a pretty good price on Facebook Marketplace, but they’re across the country hours away from me and refuse to ship. They’re only willing to do local pickup. I was wondering if anyone is willing to be paid someone local to pick up an item for me and then ship it? I’d obviously cover the cost of the item, shipping, and pay the person extra for their time. Is there anyone here who would be willing to do that for me? The item is listed here in Renton, but I unfortunately live in MA.

Hi everyone! I’m new to Seattle and looking for a stylist who has experience with Black/textured hair and installs I-tip extensions and wefts. Does anyone have recommendations based on personal experience? I’d love to hear about the quality of the installation, blending, maintenance, and how well the stylist cared for your natural hair. Please share the stylist or salon’s name, location, and Instagram or booking link if you have one. Approximate pricing would also be helpful. Thank you for helping a newcomer out
