Hey neighbors! If you’ve been meaning to get back into a workout routine but keep putting it off, you aren’t alone. Life gets busy, traditional gyms can feel overwhelming or exhausting, and it’s tough to know where to start when you've been away from exercise for a while. My name is Charlie and I am a local personal trainer with over 12,000 1 on 1 sessions trained. I run Swan Strong Fitness, a private training space nearby Ballard and Fremont Neighborhood. (located in ActivSpace at 819 N. 49th St. My approach isn't about bootcamp-style burnout or punishing workouts—it’s about functional, sustainable strength training designed to help everyday folks, beginners, and busy professionals build a real, enjoyable habit that sticks. Whether your goal is to move without pain, build bone density and balance, or just feel more confident in your body, we go at a pace that works for you. Please check out my website https://swanstrongfitness.com/ where you can contact me. The first 2 sessions are free! Thank you! Charlie

Can someone explain what's going on with Novelty Hill road for the past couple of weeks? It's been going down to a single lane after 9am every day and traffic backs up for miles as a result. I can't find anything online explaining what they are doing and why, (or more importantly what days they intend to do it, and when it will stop). cc: u/wsdot
Feels like it spent all year getting ready for these few ‘peak’ days?! Hope folks enjoy it!
Fatal car & bicycle collision this morning at the intersection in front of South Bellevue Station on the way to the I-90/I-405 ramps. No detail on the cause. Gut wrenching. Please be careful and considerate out there, everyone.
I know this is a long shot, but I was recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy and would love any recommendations of neurologists that can help support me. I’ve done my research and this is a condition that’s not very well understood. I’m looking to seek care from someone that specializes in this. Thank you!

Hi! I’m a third-year dental student at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, looking for a few patients who may need dental care. If you or someone you know is interested in scheduling an appointment, please feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to discuss your dental needs and see if we can schedule a visit.
Good Morning! I'm looking for a spot I can take 5 staff for dinner that is good but also has an environment to have a casual Q&A meeting. Not too expensive, $20-$30 per person. Would love it to be Japanese but anything would be good. Thanks in advance!
Halloween is just a little two weeks away on Saturday, October 31. Are there any places in public that do something fun to celebrate? I’m talking about young adults who don’t really know anyone in the area, and are too old for trick-or-treating. I was thinking of browsing local malls, but that’s something you can do on any day. Are there any Halloween-specific events going on?
My husband and I have been seeing this dog around our neighborhood. We were fortunate enough to locate it’s owner who then surrendered the pup to us. His name is Oso between 1-2 years old, male. One owner. Not neutered or any shots.(We plan to give shots ourselves in the next few weeks if he’s still here.) super friendly with young kids, very chill. Will only speak if he needs something. No dietary restrictions. Needs a family that is active. We currently take him on walks two times a day. Please reach out if your interested and we can meet up to see if this is the right fit.
