Hey! Deciding where I want to end up with a new job in Central District. I’m mid twenties solo female with a dog who’s transitioning from a quieter city. I’m looking for easy access to calm(ish) walks in a park so he can acclimate. So far I’m looking at these, but open to ideas so long as I can keep my commute under 35 minutes most days. I have a car, there’s no convenient light rail stop near my new job. Queen Anne West Seattle Rainier Valley Few of my options for apartments are as follows if anyone has experience. I’m keeping my search broad though so I can hopefully find what will be most comfortable for my pup. Open to any suggestions. The wife and I are spending the weekend in Seattle to watch our Chargers probably get slaughtered by the Seahawks. Whatever the result is, we love this city and are looking forward for a fun getaway. This time we're staying around Seattle's Downtown/Lake Union area. We're looking for a Friday/Saturday Night spot that serves as a dive bar with DJ music playing in said area. We're not interested in the upscale or night club scene...Just something casual with music to drink and dance to. Your suggestions are appreciated...
Congratulations! Now we have a big murder of crows screaming every morning from 7 am to 10am. What an ingenious alarm clock! Such a smart neighbor! 👏
I've been a CenturyLink Fiber customer in NE Seattle for over a decade. Great service. In February, they sent an email announcing they'd sold their network to Quantum Fiber, but they would continue to administer my account and nothing would change about my service. That remained true for almost 8 months. On Sept 28 in the early afternoon, I was leaving for an errand and noticed a tech accessing the fiber equipment for the neighborhood. It's right in front of my house and they access it pretty regularly, so I thought nothing of it. When I got back, I had no internet access. I confirmed the problem wasn't on my end and called CenturyLink. They confirmed there was something wrong with the connection to my house but said they couldn't help me because they no longer owned the network. I would have to transfer my account to Quantum Fiber. So, I agreed to do so, and Quantum set an installation appointment for the next day (9/29). The morning of the 29th they sent me a text message that started "Quantum Fiber from AT&T: We're all set to install your new service." so I thought it was just one more text reminder and didn't read the whole thing. Well, it was a cancellation notice. At this point they wanted to reschedule my installation to Sept 30. What kind of sucker lets a company disconnect their service without warning and make them wait a day and a half to even consider fixing it? I switched to cable, which makes me pretty sad because you take a latency hit when doing so. tl;dr - if you have CenturyLink fiber, proactively transition your account to Quantum Fiber so they will actually fix your service if they break it.
I broke a necklace chain and am wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to get it fixed?
My cars are an 07 CRV and 16 Altima. I have average coverage. I'm old and clean driving with no claims last 7 years except for a couple of roadside assistance, Progressive is the only one halfway OK. Its still over 1k for every 6 months which for my age seems rather high. Who else is just plain struggling with these car insurance rates every freaking 6 months. Is our region just much higher than elsewhere. I don't think i can stay in Seattle many more years, barely can take time off from work without the next bill killing you. collision comp 1k deduct, no PIP, no rental coverage, no roadside assistance anymore, no medical payments. 50k liability. I am probably underinsured. I am just doing the bare min coverage really.
I've tried Ace Hardware, Bluesky, and Seattle Locksmith Security. Bluesky called another company for me, can't remember the name, and they couldn't do it either. I have a brand new OEM uncut, unprogrammed key. Who in Seattle could possibly cut and program it for me? If no one will, who can get me a new key fast? I'm trying to avoid spending $500 at a dealership. I'm so frustrated. Thanks for the help.
Anyone else get this message when they try to open West Seattle Blog or am I special?
I saw one for fall city and couldn’t tell if it was good or not bonus points if it’s something that’s somewhat near Redmond Washington or within 30 minute drive
Hi everyone, we have a severely clogged toilet that we've been unable to clear. We've tried a plunger, hot (not boiling) water, vinegar, baking soda, and a few other remedies, but it's been clogged for about two days now. We are looking for recommendations for a reliable and reasonably priced plumber. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
