I’m planning a vacation in the next couple months and was pleasantly surprised (haha) with how expensive tickets were to places like HI, Mexico and Costa Rica. Anyone care to share where they have traveled, how much they paid and if they recommend it to others? I’m looking to spend sub 3.5k on the whole trip. Thanks!

Hopefully this fits this subreddit, this did happen in Seattle. This guy was walking his down outside of my apartment. I kept hearing a weird noise and shortly realized he was continuously using a shock collar on his dog. He did this so much his dog ended up falling outside my window. I would’ve said something but didn’t feel comfortable with the guy knowing where I live. Is this a common issue in Seattle? I’ve only lived here a week or two.

According to the city, $3.6 million was distributed through 120 grants that supported 80 public art projects and cultural activations. Of that amount, $2.3 million was earmarked by the Office of Arts & Culture (OAC) for specifically FIFA-related summer events. (For reference, in 2026, Arts in Parks funded 33 grants, with a total budget of $216,000.) ~ Ten times the neighborhood arts budget went to one month of soccer. Arts in Parks is still working off $216,000 for the whole city.
