I run hot and it’s been hard for me to find a place with A/C ( not A/C ports). Ideally looking for a 1 bed 1 bath, with in unit washer dryer and preferably with little to no carpet. I’ve been looking in apartment apps for so long and it’s hard to find an apartment that has these things :( I’m flexible on price, I understand an apartment like this will be on the pricier end.

A Seattle Redditor says he has been kicked out and is about to become homeless, presumably by his parents. He says it is partly because he is “queer.” Asked what he meant by “queer,” he answered: “ nonbinary .” His bio reads: “amab/nblm pronouns he/they 🏳️⚧️.” Apparently Marxist Leninist theory wasn’t enough. There is also the modern gender framework, in which sex and gender are treated as separate categories, followed by the requisite identity label, pronouns and flag. AMAB, nonbinary, he/they, NBLM. One biological fact has somehow acquired an entire administrative system. And then there’s the Reddit résumé. While living with financial support from his parents, he was moderating r/SocialismIsCapitalism , r/TankiesAndTankinis , r/IVUse , r/MoreTankie19684 , r/NewsWithJingjing2 , r/AntiTankieSpam and r/Not196 . For anyone unfamiliar with the terminology, a “tankie” generally refers to someone associated with strongly pro communist, particularly Marxist Leninist politics. An “anti tankie” is someone opposed to that tradition. r/TankiesAndTankinis is explicitly Marxist Leninist and focused on memes and class consciousness. r/AntiTankieSpam exists to mock people who oppose tankies. It has two members. r/NewsWithJingjing2 focuses on China and communist commentator Li Jingjing. r/MoreTankie19684 has the magnificent description “S*x is revisionist,” apparently establishing that even sex requires ideological approval. r/Not196 has two members and is a shitposting community. r/IVUse centers on IV drug use. r/SocialismIsCapitalism is a 57,000 member communist oriented community built around arguing that socialism resembles or reproduces capitalism, while treating communism as the ideal alternative. And then there’s r/TheDeprogram where former moderators identified this account as one of the two lead moderators. The Marxist Leninist subreddit had more than 80,000 members before Reddit banned it for celebrating violence (against Charlie Kirk for example). So here we have someone living off his parents while maintaining an impressive portfolio of online ideological responsibilities: promoting communism, Marxist Leninist memes, tankie discourse, anti tankie discourse, China politics, revisionism and an elaborate identity vocabulary built around separating gender from sex. Then the housing arrangement apparently ends, and the immediate material question becomes: “I’m about to be homeless, where can I go?” He deleted the SeattleWA post and moved the question over to r/Seattle , where someone offered perhaps the most unintentionally perfect response imaginable : “I hate saying this but when I was in your position I did use Google Gemini and it told me about so many programs that a simple google search won’t bring up. I hate AI but without using it that time I would have been on the streets.” Nothing says 2026 ideological consistency quite like being rescued by the technology you’re supposed to hate. Remember this the next time you see a leftist Reddit community with an elaborate moderation team. The person behind the moderator badge may not be a seasoned political organizer with a career, savings and independent housing. He may be living with his parents while moderating Marxist Leninist memes, policing tankie discourse, debating gender theory and discussing the contradictions of capitalism. That is the cautionary tale. You can construct an extraordinarily elaborate political and online identity while the boring foundations of independent adulthood remain unresolved. You can know every faction, tendency, counter tendency, identity label and ideological dispute on Reddit, but eventually the material conditions may demand something much less theoretical: income, savings, practical independence and somewhere to live. The revolution can wait. The gender taxonomy can wait. The parents have the lease. Gemini has the housing resources. Comrade has encountered a material condition.
Just popped in for a growler and got the news. I'm gutted. Anyone know why and if they'll bring it back? I thought the state made an exemption for natural Kratom to be sold during their ban.
I’m getting increasingly frustrated with following the rules when it seems like so many other drivers ignore them with little or no consequence. Some examples I see regularly: * People crossing the double white lines on I-405. On almost every drive, I see at least a few people doing it, and I never see anyone get pulled over. Some use it just to pass cars in traffic. * People using the HOV lane on metered highway ramps just to bypass the light. * Drivers using the HOV lane on I-5 just to pass other cars. (Don't me get started on the cars driving slowly in the left lane!) * People getting into right turn only lanes and then continuing straight through the intersection. * Drivers not following the proper order at stop signs. The behavior seems deliberate and happens often enough that it has become normal. And honestly, it makes me feel like a sucker for following the rules. You wait your turn, stay in the correct lane, don't cross the lines, and then watch someone else ignore the rules and get ahead of everyone who followed them. I have never personally witnessed any of these things result in a ticket. Maybe my perception is wrong, but I don't remember it being this bad 10–15 years ago. Over the last decade, it seems like the population around here has grown dramatically, and I wonder whether that has contributed to a change in driving culture. With so many people moving here from other places, are some of the differences simply coming from people bringing different driving habits and expectations about what rules are actually enforced? Or is it the newer generation drivers?
Anyone have a preferred supplier for getting a large residential propane tank filled? Or a company to specifically avoid? Thanks in advance. Picture of my backyard elk for no reason.
Any shelters or cat rescues that would be in need of a used cat tree? The scratching post portions are in need of a little TLC, could just add some sisal rope to fix them up. We are getting a bigger one for our kitty, the old one is still very sturdy! Figured a shelter or rescue might have some use for it more so than the dump. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I was heartened to see that the city/state cleaned up the absolutely filthy highway 7 connector, I noticed on Sunday evening it was completely clean with no garbage on the side of the road. By Monday midday it was already filling back up with garbage. Why do we live in such a filthy trash ridden city?
