I’m driving up from Portland for The Hayley Williams Show at White River on Wednesday and have a GA pit ticket, so I’m hoping to get there pretty early. The problem is that the venue parking doesn’t open until later, so this is a bit of a long shot: does anyone who lives within walking distance of White River have a driveway/parking spot they’d be willing to let me use? Happy to pay, obviously! It’s just one small Chevy Cruze. Ideally I’d love somewhere I could leave it from early Wednesday morning until after the show, but even just being able to park for a few hours in the morning until the venue lot opens would be incredibly helpful. If you’re nearby or know someone who does this for concerts, please DM me! Thank you 🙏

Stop wearing all black! Nobody can see you when you walk into the street without looking. This is coming from someone who was out walking my dog tonight in bright colored clothing and witnessed about 3 of you ninjas almost get hit.
Was walking to Total Wine, when I saw a cat on the ground meowing up a storm. Didn't seem feral, did seem super scared. As I was looking at it, someone driving by said they had just seen it fall out of one of the windows and land on the awning before jumping on a car and ending up at the spot where I saw her by a Total Wine window. He did not know which window it was. Animal control was closed. There was some blood on the ground by her, so we classified that as an emergency and called 911. Police came and took her to an emergency vet. I believe they were planning on taking her to Timberline.
Best thrift stores in Auburn and surrounding areas? Also, best organizations in Auburn to donate children’s clothing and items that will get in the hands of families in need? Is there a women and children’s resource center that takes donations? Thanks in Advance, new to the area :)
Hey y'all, For a while I’ve been building something for people who love fishing and being outdoors, a website to track fishing lakes nationwide. I just added Washington with data on fishing lakes: last stocked date, species, and history from WDFW’s trout plant reports, without hunting through agency pages every weekend. I finally got the American Lake page live and wanted to share it: https://fishypedia.com/wa/american-lake The point is simple. Around here the question is usually “did they stock it?” or “what’s in there lately?”, and that usually means piecing together WDFW’s catchable trout plants report, a lake name that may not match what you call it, and whether anything happened last week. This puts it on one page. Here’s what it covers: - Last stocked date, plants on record, species recorded, and average size when WDFW reports it - Stocking history with a yearly chart, plus a filter when more than one species shows up - Access notes, map, and nearby stocked lakes - Links out when we have them: camping nearby, public land, water level on the same water - Same treatment for other WA lakes, plus a Washington hub and a stocked-this-week feed: https://fishypedia.com/wa and https://fishypedia.com/wa/stocked-this-week I started building stuff like this because I kept bouncing between different reports and random forum threads just to answer “was the lake stocked? is it a good time to fish?” So I built the thing I wanted to exist. It’s just me working on this on the side, no team. Same network as the reservoir / public-lands sites if you’ve seen those. Would love for you to poke around and tell me what’s missing or wrong. If a date looks off, a lake’s missing, or there’s a feature you wish it had (other WA waters are already on the site too), I’m all ears. I’m planning on keeping plants updated and covering more of the state. Currently working on keeping everything updated twice a week. Also working on improving the fishing guides per species, it takes a lot of research work to figure out how to best fish each species and it also varies per location and weather, there is still a ton to improve. Let me know if you have anything you’d like added.
hi everyone! I am reaching out on behalf of my friend who is currently a counseling intern in Washington State, and wanted to share in case anyone here is looking for affordable mental health support. She offers counseling in both English and Mandarin (中文) and specializes with clients that struggle with: • Anxiety • Life transitions and major changes • Body image and self-esteem • Burnout, stress, and feeling emotionally drained As a counseling intern, she is able to offer sessions at a sliding-scale rate , with the goal of making counseling more accessible for people who may not be able to afford traditional therapy rates. Sessions are available to Washington residents only and are provided under appropriate clinical supervision. if interested, send me a DM and I will send you her information! *currently only offering telehealth services, but will also offer in-person starting late November.
I’m visiting for a bit and have heard good things about both spots. Any feedback is appreciated regarding reservations/walk in availability as well!
Is this just me or is it hard to make friends in Bellevue? I'm an Asian male, age 38. I've been living here for 8 years and I've tried going to all these meetup groups. There's a meetup group for mostly Asians. I won't name the group but I think it's one of the biggest ones on Meetup.com. IYKYK I've even tried board game groups and it just feels like people don't actually want to make friends. They just want to go there to experience the high -the dopamine of interacting with people, doing the activities together. It doesn't feel like people actually want to have conversations. People say that they want deep connections but it doesn't feel like they are actually want to do it, because it requires SMALL TALK When I go to this Asian meetup groups that's mostly Asians - mostly Asian guys. It's pretty obvious that they are straight because, based on my experience, gay guys tend to be nicer to me just because I'm a fairly good-looking and fit Asian. The Asian guys in this Asian group don't really want to talk to me. It feels like they're thinking, "What do I get out of this? What's the point of talking to you?" when they talk to me, but when I see them talk to an Asian girl in the group, suddenly their energy is totally different. They are so smiley and energetic and so interested. I used to be very committed to this meetup group, but it doesn't seem like they're actually there to make friends. It feel like the Asian guys are there to just find a date I hear a lot about Seattle freeze. I want to think that's not true but it's more and more apparent to me that it is real. I talked to some friendshere, not close friends in Seattle, but they are friends that I see a bit more regularly than a normal person. Apparently It's a real thing
