Hi! I’m coming up from Portland for The Hayley Williams Show at White River on Wednesday 9/30 and have a GA pit ticket, so I’m hoping to get there very early in the morning. Since the venue parking lot won’t be open that early, I’m looking for someone who lives within reasonable walking distance of the amphitheatre who would be willing to let me park one small car (Chevy Cruze) in their driveway/on their property from early Wednesday morning until after the concert. Happy to pay! I’d just need somewhere legal and safe where the car can stay all day without being in anyone’s way. Please DM me if you’re nearby and interested. :)

While visiting Seahurst Park for 30 minutes the rental car we were using got unlocked and had 4 luggage and 4 backpacks stolen out of the back. If anyone in the cities surrounding finds odds and ends in their big apartment dumpsters dm me. The serial numbered items I wont mention as they likely would not end up in the trash, but 6 mtg commander decks were - zinnia, betor, ygra, tovolar, obeka, and deadpool. One of the backpacks is a distinct black topo pack with white embroidered Level Up U on it, there were few of these made this way. The other bags were a dark grey osprey, dark grey patagonia, and a forest green eddie bauer. Suitcases were a blue 4 wheel carry on, a Samsonite silver XL carry on, an away mint carry on, and a quince black carry on. I know this is a lot to ask but just trying to signal boost as much as I can, one persons passport was found in a dumpster near the middle of Kent so the people who took it seem to be dumping the unfencable goods into scattered trash cans. Thanks all, Seattle was a wonderful place and even though this horrible thing happened I would still revisit in a heartbeat.

Currently live in Glendale and like the relative quiet. But find myself often in Highland Park, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater. I drive but would like to do less of that in Seattle if possible. I like the arts, movies, music, karaoke. I guess I'll also learn to love nature stuff. I want wherever I live to feel maybe a little less sleepy and suburban and more the analog to one of the neighborhoods. Looking to rent an apartment or condo. Budget is $4500 or so. Moving in about two months. Will be working downtown near central library. Having public transportation access to my office is a must. My work suggested Belltown, Capitol Hill, Green Lake as areas with public transportation access. Queen Anne seems cool too but idk if there's public transport too. Based on my research, it seems like somewhere a few blocks into Capitol Hill might be a good fit. I'm 36-years-old / single / no kids if that factors into anything, but I really don't care how young or old my neighbors are.

As you may know, watching the Seahawks on TV from the Seattle area is a moving target: sometimes NBC (Sunday night), ESPN/ABC (Monday), or Fox (KCPQ 13) on Sundays, with cross-conference matchups on CBS / KIRO 7. So the Commanders game Sunday was on Fox 13. Am I the only one who shut it down once Fox started airing the Trump propaganda "paid for by the US Government?" Not only is that likely illegal but it feels like a small action I can take to protest what is happening to our country. Yes it's probably a hopelessly small impact, but am I the only one?

[Press release, same information as in link] Pacific Legal Foundation Federal appeals court revives Seattle worker’s racial harassment claim September 28, 2026 A former City of Seattle employee who says the City’s race-focused workplace program fueled years of racial harassment against him won a key ruling today at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The court reversed a lower court decision that had thrown out Joshua Diemert’s hostile work environment claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Washington state law, clearing the way for those claims to proceed to trial. “Today’s decision sends a clear message: Title VII protects every employee from a racially hostile work environment, regardless of race,” said Laura D’Agostino, an attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation. “No one should have to endure years of racial hostility at work. The Ninth Circuit recognized that the repeated racial hostility Joshua Diemert endured deserves to be heard at trial. We look forward to returning to the district court so that Mr. Diemert can finally have his day in court.” Diemert joined the City’s Human Services Department in 2013. Like all department employees, he was required to take part in the City’s Race and Social Justice Initiative, which included trainings on racial privilege and employee affinity groups organized by race. Diemert says coworkers directed racially charged language at him, trainers told employees that racism is in white people’s DNA, and a supervisor pressured him to give up a lead role so a person of color could be promoted. He resigned in 2021 and sued the City the following year. In its opinion, the court said race-conscious training programs “may violate Title VII when they create a racially hostile work environment.” The court found that the incidents Diemert described were “sufficiently numerous, frequent, and severe” for a jury to decide his hostile work environment claims. The case now returns to the district court.
