Come hang out at Tacoma Code & Coffee! We’re a monthly meetup and casual co-working session for anyone interested in coding, tech, or community. All experience levels are welcome. Some people bring projects to work on. Others socialize the entire time. It’s totally up to you. At 12:30, we do an intro circle to give everyone a chance to introduce themselves, ask for help/offer help, plug opportunities/events, and get to know each other. After the intro circle, everything is self-organized. Come grab a pastry, coffee, and make some friends. We’d love to see you there. I moved to an east coast city for job opportunities and have been absolutely miserable since. I come from a small midwestern state and work in the culinary field - I did ample research and planned this move for almost a full year (visiting my partner in the state) before moving down here and after 6 months of feeling chewed up and spit out by this place I’m genuinely debating on re locating while I have the chance to / the most money in my pocket. What drew me to the east coast was mainly work related and Ive decided to view this part of my life as a stepping stone to better things as a way to cope with how much this chapter has proven to suck / be full of hardships. Simply want more greenery / less chaos and a better life balance as I make headway in my career. I miss hiking and the woods and people who value community. Can I make it in Seattle with no vehicle / subletting or room for rent situation under $800 monthly? Any advice, honest opinions, or any leads are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

This group and their minions work hard to delete posts that have undisputed credibility and then they reframe the narrative. Here is another attempt of them claiming they really do on everything in Three Tree Point and that the cabanas are all legitimate and we’re built with permission and permits, and it’s great. They do this along with their flying monkeys, making comments and liking each other‘s comments because it’s just more proof of the attempted theft of government land by deception.

I’m super excited that Hey Bagel is coming to West Seattle and that The Works is opening their diy arts and crafts classes on California. It made me wonder: what other businesses would you love to see in West Seattle?

I have an extra ticket to see Groundation (awesome reggae from Cali) tonight at the Nectar Lounge. It is free to anyone who wants to go / you just need to meet me at will call around 8-8:30 tonight. No, this is not an electronic ticket that you can then resell. Message me if you’re interested in actually going to see some killer reggae tonight for free! No obligation to hang with me or anything. Just go see live music! https://www.groundation.com

Hopping on a ferry to Anacortes then driving to SeaTac to catch a flight. If I take the ferry that arrives to Anacortes around 3:55, so beginning the drive around 4 pm, how long do you think it will take to get to SeaTac? Is there usually traffic that time/day with folks coming back into the city after getting away for the weekend? Thanks!

Hey guys, I moved here from the southern part of Africa for school about four years ago, and I am now working in Big Tech. It has only been about two months, but the problem is that it has been hard to make friends, let alone find a girlfriend. I have tried registering for and attending events through Meetup. It has been so hard navigating work, a new city, and life in general. I feel so lonely and I'm scared. Is it just me, or have other people experienced this before? Some people told me to pick up some hobbies, and I have tried joining a running club here at SLU, and I have been consistent; but how do you even start a conversation while running, lol? Is there a trick or some formula to making friends in Seattle? How does one live a somewhat fulfilling life here? I just turned 25 a few days ago and I feel like I'm getting old really quickly, so the feeling of loneliness is kind of messing me up. How do people do it here? I just want to find some real love and a good community of friends; is that too much to ask for?
