I know the burn ban is still in effect for king county and Washington state. I was wondering if it will be lifted towards October? Would I need to utilize the fire pits that are there? Do people usually just bring their own or do whatever on the beach? Was thinking of hosting a get together with friends this upcoming Saturday but want to do some more research of course before hosting.

Anyone know any residential repair companies that do structural repairs? Looking to hire a company to replace 2 main support beams, 2 main support uprights & a few floor support beams. I've contacted a few residential builders but they all said they do new construction, not repairs or remodels :/
I have a few canning recipes that do best with fresh cayenne peppers, but my usual source wasn't able to grow this year. Has anyone seen fresh cayenne peppers at farmers markets in the area or know of a local producer to check out? Thanks in advance!
So I’m overnight security. I just had to deal with like, 30 college kids riding Lime scooters, drunk and high, breaking property, trying to start fights so they can use TikTok to make themselves look like the victims. And while the rant I want to make would likely violate several ToS, I’m saving that for my therapist (read: my cat). Here’s the problem; not only are police slow to actually respond to things like this, but these kids are using apps that keep track of 911 calls, and will bail if they see one go up where they’re at. So they’re gone even if Police show up in less than 5 (not that that ever actually happens). Even though college kids on Lime Scooters make my job way harder than even the homeless, the drug addicts, etc, I know that there are good uses for these; cheap commutes during the day, even people trying to avoid a DUI by just taking a scooter straight home. But the Bad Actors riding scooters have spent the last two years making my job way harder than it has to be. Now I’m just immediately on guard of anyone riding scooters. Now, my knee-jerk reaction (that’s civil) is to basically argue that if they’re riding scooters, vandalizing/starting fights/blocking traffic and they’re also drunk/high, and they actually get caught, the courts should tack a DUI onto the other charges, and have Lime ban them for a year or longer. But, there’s a lot of blocks that would need to fall into place for that to happen, and I don’t exactly have faith that the city will do that. I can assume I’m not the only one absolutely exhausted by these scooter kids. Has anybody else actually found a reliable solution? Any ideas on how to create one or several? Please tell me I’m not the only one who loathes dealing with these kids night after night. TL;DR - drunken college kids on lime scooters keep causing problems and getting away with it, what should we do so that they don’t?
This is the home for lost and found around Tacoma, refreshed every week. If you've lost something or come across something that isn't yours, drop a comment below. A few things that help: Say whether you lost or found the item, and lead with what it is. Add the rough area and the day, as much as you're comfortable sharing. For anything with a serial number or other identifying detail, hold that back in your public comment and trade it over DM once someone reaches out, so the real owner can prove it's theirs. Lost or found a pet? we recommend posting in r/LostPetsTacoma too, but you’re welcome to post in this thread as well. For everyone's safety, please be smart about meeting people from the internet. Comb through the comments before posting in case your item is already here. Good luck, and thanks for looking out for each other.
Rad music, highly recommend checking them out. They recently released some pretty good seats for the 10/9 show at AOTW arena, upper 200's but close to the center. Perfect for the light show. Hope to see some of you there!
What’s there to do in Downtown Renton for Halloween??? I’m hoping there’s some sort of 21+ event to meet new people at and stuff :P
It was in a mall near where the Edgemaker knife sharpener factory used to be and maybe still is. The food was excellent. I think the name was two words, not in English. The owner was Sikh. This is not much to go on, so I appreciate any help. Edit: this was in 2011. I lived in Lynnwood and worked in Everett.
Drove down Fremont today and there is a trailer saying speed limit 25 and flashes red blue lights at you if you do 26+. All posted signs say 30 from 205th to 165th. So whys this unmarked trailer say 25? Couldn’t find anything on Shorelines page or social media. I feel like this is someone’s personal trailer as I did not see any “Shoreline Police” or “City of Shoreline” markings on it.
This Tesla has been parked on Fauntleroy for weeks. Has tickets. Anyone know who it belongs to?
