Yesterday, a friend and I walked to the waterfront by Queen Anne and noticed a line of water bottles and Caprisuns laid out on part of the walkway. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be an art piece or if someone just wants people to stay hydrated. It felt weird to lay them out in a line instead of putting them in a bucket.

Closed the multi use path early. A barge approaches. The bridge never opens. The barge gets pushed back. The bridge stays closed. 20mins of nothing. Why can't the operator tell cyclists, drivers, and pedestrians what is going on? Many of us finally gave up and went to the 1st Ave bridge.
I'm thinking of starting a wellness social club for women localized to Puyallup and South Hill. It would include things like walks in local parks, private swims, movie nights, craft nights etc. It would be strictly for women only (no children or boyfriends\husbands at events please), and LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly (wear headphones to signal you're just there for vibes not conversation). The primary purpose would be to create a safe third space with low or no cost activities that focus on wellness and joy. I haven't completed the framework yet, I'm just putting this out to see what kind of interest there would be. Thanks!
Federal immigration agents arrested a man Tuesday morning at a parking lot across the street from an elementary school near Woodland Park where parents were dropping off their children. Lisa Norris, head of school at KapKa Cooperative Elementary School, said staff members and families were shocked and “horrified” by the arrest — apparently by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — which occurred in a quiet residential area. “We all have a lot of awareness that this is happening all over the country, but being faced with it in person, and seeing something so inhumane and the injustice unfolding before our eyes, we felt very helpless,” Norris said. At around 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, just as school drop-off began, a car pursued by three vehicles pulled into the parking lot at Phinney Avenue North and North 49th Street, just south of Woodland Park. Two of the three cars were unmarked with no license plates, Norris said. Four agents, all masked but with at least one wearing a vest reading “POLICE ICE,” emerged from the cars, Norris said. They began pounding on the windows of the man’s car, shouting in English and Spanish for the man to show a visa and identification. Agents eventually smashed the driver-side window, unlocked the door and forcefully removed the man from his car, Norris said. They handcuffed the man against his car and then drove him away in an unmarked vehicle.

I know that it’s been bad with the ongoing bridge work, but the last two days have seemed extra extra horrible. Both days my commute after work has taken an extra 20 to 25 minutes. Is there some extra factor I’m not aware of?
FYI for Kingsgate owners of smaller pets! A coyote has been spotted in Hazen Hills twice in the last month and a half. Once in late August, and again on Oct 13. Oct 13 sighting was just east of Hazen Hills Park on 121st Ave NE
Hey there everyone. My mother was hit by a bus this morning (she was a pedestrian walking) and I’m looking for more details if ANYONE has any. Happened around 5:45am on 10/14/26 in Kent Near Mill Creek Middle School (near the sounder station it sounds like) at the cross walk of E Pioneer St and Central Ave. Did anyone happen to witness anything? Any info would be hugely appreciated 💗
Hey Tacomans! I'm having some trouble getting a traditional job around the city due to my lack of experience, and lack of a driver's license. I've looked around Craigslist and Facebook, but I'm having trouble finding odd jobs around the city. Honestly, I'm just looking for anything that isn't childcare to fill out my resume. Thanks in advance!
