Hi everyone. I don’t post much, not to mention about anything serious. This is hard to talk about as I typically downplay how badly I am doing. For the last 5 years I (28F) have suffered from extreme tmj pain and complications from it. I stopped working for 6 months at one point, and have stopped working again now in the last month because it is very exhausting to deal with. It influences every decision I make and I have stopped living, just survival. I have lots of weird sounds and sensations that come from my jaw and even nerves that connect into my jaw from other parts of my body. I can’t think right or focus correctly because the pain is just the forefront of everything. It now causes shooting pain to eat as well. My pain is there every second of my life, it’s just a matter of how bad. I don’t go out, I don’t like talking, and everything is genuinely miserable all of the time. Tears are shed almost daily. I have been diagnosed with adhd since I was a kid but nothing ever stopped me from reading. I loved it. Now my headaches and depression from never ending pain leaves me unable to read. I have also always suffered from bad anxiety and was just diagnosed with ocd, which I had no idea I had until my new psychiatrist asked me to take a lengthy questionnaire after discussing my mental health and told me my results were moderate to severe. I am about to go to an IOP program for it I hope. I know these issues make tmj issues worse, so I know it is important I treat these and I am trying, and have been for a while. I just moved here from the Memphis Tennessee area, and there were no good options. The two doctors I saw for TMJ were very expensive and I got no relief from a mix of meds, lots of physical therapy, dry needling, jaw exercises, and mouth splints from both practices. Most insurance does not cover this condition and ours did not. My husband’s new job has a plan that actually does (it shows separate coverage for dentist vs medical on it which I am confused about but oh well). We have a gold plan with Regence. I don’t care if it is out of network if it won’t be crazy outrageous, I just need help. I don’t care what it takes, I cannot go on like this. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you everyone. I am located in Puyallup but willing to drive a bit for the potential of relief.

I added a new bot catcher because the former one is no longer active (thank you u/BigBlackDwarf for bringing that to our attention). It may action you mistakenly. If so mod mail us and we will set things straight.

My friend's dog broke out of his collar and took off running near Alki Beach this evening. They are not near home at all, and he wouldn't know where to go. If you're in the area, please keep an eye out in the streets, your backyard, the bushes. Please call her anytime if you see him! Thank you so much!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy my first proper watch and have my eye on the Tissot PR516 Chronograph I’m currently seeing it for around $575 and wanted to check if anyone knows of a specific authorized dealer, local jeweler, outlet, or other reputable place around Seattle/Bellevue where I could get a better price or a good discount without compromising on service/warranty. Would really appreciate specific store recommendations or recent experiences. Thanks! -GPT formatted

Let me know if there is a better sub to post this question in! Basically, I’m from Portland and my parents are eager to buy a vacation / retirement house on AI. Trying not to rain on their parade too much because they seem pretty excited, but also feeling pretty skeptical it’s a good idea. The ferry sounds inconsistent, the lack of medical care / grocery / gas seems like a pretty big barrier as well. They are really lovely, community minded people but also are not planning to live there full time. Any insight so I can help them with their process is much appreciated!!

My friend's dog snapped his collar and he took off near Alki Beach. They are not near their home and he wouldn't know how to get home. If you see him, please message or call her, or message me. Thank you so much for keeping your eyes out for this little guy!

Hi y'all! It's my wife and It's first year in Seattle/PNW. We've been here since late May. We gone camping a few times since we've been here, but since it's our first fall/winter we aren't too familiar with camping during this seasons. Most parks campsites seem to be closed by now, are there any places y'all know where we can camp? We wanted to camp near Mt. Baker. TIA!
