It's 7am. What property managers are instructing their landscapers to leaf blow for an hour starting at 7am? Just wanna talk. Edit: I mean, it's 8am but they started at 7 😭 How many leaves can there even be? Edit edit: omg guys. I didnt realize it was life or death. Thank you for enlightening me. I also have learned the internet is NOT a space to ever speak negatively and that doing so must inherently make me an absolutely selfish unempathrtic person. I've learned a lot and I'm very grateful. 🙏 Edit two electric boogalo: I'm also anti-homeless and ungrateful for a place to live!! Im learning and growing, guys! Thank you. 🤍

As a guy in my late 20s who's lacking social group to go out and looking to just enjoy some social night, what can i do? I would sound boring when i say i don't drink and usually am tired by 11pm or at most midnight. All i am looking for is to make some friends or just enjoy my time in a corner.

Hello everyone! I know this might be an unusual request, but I'm hoping someone in the Everett/Seattle area might be willing to be my honorary Abuelita for a day. I'm 30 years old, adopted, and raised in a Mexican family. Unfortunately, my Abuelita passed away when I was only three years old, so I never had the opportunity to learn how to cook alongside her. My dad is getting older, and there's something very special I'd like to do for him. Two of his favorite childhood dishes are liver and onions and oxtail soup , both of which his mother used to make for him. I'd love to learn how to prepare these dishes the traditional way, from someone who grew up making them or learned them from their own mother or grandmother. I'm not looking for someone to cook for me. I want to get my hands dirty, learn the little tricks that never make it into cookbooks, and listen to whatever stories someone might be willing to share. I'm a licensed baker, so I'm more than happy to purchase all the ingredients, bring homemade baked goods as a thank-you, and help clean up afterward. I know I'll never get the chance to cook alongside my own Abuelita, but perhaps someone else's Abuelita would be willing to share a little of her time and knowledge with me. I want to surprise my dad with something that tastes like his childhood. Something that might remind him of sitting at his mother's table. And maybe, in the process, I'll get to experience a little of the grandmotherly love I missed out on. Thank you for reading. ❤️

Experiencing an odd power outage this morning in this area. Part of our unit has lost power, part of it still has power just fine. Same at the local gym down the street. Our building fire alarm went off and fire department came and cleared the building. Some of the street lights are powered on but not others. It’s giving a very creepy vibe, but I’m not sure what could cause an outage like this?

In case you missed it, your elected city council members last night at the budget study session voted to keep the highly expensive Puyallup Arches Project moving forward. Aye - Deputy Mayor Johnson, CM Kastama, CM Gilliam, CM King Nay - Mayor Witting, CM Adler, CM Smolko As a reminder, the project would be funded by hotel-motel rental lodging taxes and the money can only be used for tourism-related purposes. Nevertheless, Mayor Witting proposed a number of alternate uses for the funds that would be more responsible and beneficial to the community, such as investment in local trails like the Riverwalk Trail, promotion of local events, marathons, etc. If these Trump-style vanity projects don't sit well with you, speak up! Email your elected city council member or show up at the budget study session (agenda and details in the link below) and share citizen comment. Hello, I am looking for donated materials to help my fiancé build this electric guitar from scratch, as a store-bought instrument is out of our budget right now, and had been for quite some time. He is a beautiful guitar player with no guitar... If you have any leftover woodworking supplies, old guitar electronics, or hardware taking up space, we would love to give them a second life. We are looking for: • Lumber scraps: Thicker pieces of maple, ash, alder, mahogany, walnut, or oak suitable for a guitar body. • Electronics/Hardware: Pickups, knobs, wiring, jacks, tuning keys, or an electric bridge. • Tools: Wood clamps, wood files/rasps, chisels, or a soldering iron. • Project guitars: Any old, broken, or cheap electric guitars we can salvage for parts. We are located in the Seattle [he was hit and disabled by a drink driver over 10 years ago so we can't travel too far] but will come pick them up at your convenience. Thank you for your time and generosity. I hope I posted this correctly, if not.... please ignore 🙏
