Pretty much says what it is. Some of the burbs have hit sub 50, but I am pretty sure this is the first for the city proper. Already got my heavy comforter out and am going to sleep with the windows open tonight. added bonus: tomorrow is supposed to be a sunny mid-65 degree day. perfect fall weekend weather.

Here's some of my favorite 'fits of the summer, hope you like them too!
Looking for recommendations for a tide pooling group! I went to a tide pooling club recently and was the only person there. I’d love to join a group of knowledgeable people I can learn from. I know next to nothing about tide pools but I’m endlessly curious about all of the little creatures who live in them.

Any people in their early to mid twenties looking for a new D&D campaign? I'm looking for 3-5 players for a somewhat consistent play schedule. Ideally you would have at least some prior playtime or exposure, as I am not great at teaching the rules from scratch. For an idea of my DMing style, my current other campaign is a Studio Ghibli inspired homebrew campaign that's been running for a few years, along with a few past homebrew campaigns in middle fantasy settings.
Just now I was puilled over going 65, with my cruise control on, on highway 97. In a 60 MPH zone. No cars around me, just me. I had a trunk full of frozen groceries, I was less than 2 minutes away from my house, and a WSP idiot pulled me over claiming I was going 77 MPH. I called the dumb fucker a liar, to his face, and he just smirked at me in a "what are you going to do about it?" sort of way. Anyone know any good lawyers who can wipe that smug prick piece of shit's smile off his face with a lawsuit? I am sick of being targeted by cops on this stretch of road. Twice this year, I've gotten ticketed with my cruise control set to 65, and they've claimed I was going in excess of 75. Another ticket I got this year, I was lawfully passing a vehicle in the oncoming and a cop STILL pulled me over, claiming the car I was passing was going over 60 MPH, which couldn't have been the case because I was clocking him at 55 the whole way. And before anyone asks - YES, my speedometer IS properly calibrated. I just had the fucking car in the shop, full inspection.
Hi there, reaching out to some who may be more versed in the vacation spots around the PNW. My wife and I live in Seattle, but she recently lost her grandfather back in Texas. He suffered from dementia, so it was an expected, though still tragic loss. My wife and I plan to stay for a week after the funeral to help her parents transition (they were his long-term caregivers). The trip has us coming back the same day we planned on sailing out for a cruise. Obviously the cruise is out of the question, but we still have an entire week off after we come back. Money is a bit tight with all the last minute flights we've booked, but I want to try and have us get out of town somewhere regional for at least some of those remaining days as some sort of getaway. We also have two dogs who already had to do some last minute boarding, so I'd like something that allows us to take them along. Any advice, thanks!
If all works out will be moving to the Greenwood/Ballard area and one thing on properties I have noticed (I’m from the Midwest) is the places we are looking don’t have areas to drop moving pods or if they can do a temp permit for street parking it’s usually too congested to count on that. Has anyone tried using pods in these congested communities and how did it work out? I will preface we are only bringing bare minimum and repurchasing cheaper ikea shelves and what not but will still need one for better quality goods. Thanks!
Hey all! I run these playgroups for preschoolers (2.5-6 years old) around town and this weekend is our last one of the year and the last one before we open our new art and play studio. I set up a playdough table, art table, water/mud kitchen with all sorts of magic, loose parts for building and a sensory table - all inviting, open-ended play experiences that offer young kids to wonder and be wild, the exact work they should be doing and love to do! Saturday, Sept. 26th @ Peace of Mind brewery in Lynnwood Sunday, Sept. 27th @ Edway Taphouse in Edmonds You can sign up at https://www.wonderwildstudio.com/pop-ups And you can follow me at @wonder.and.wild.play on Instagram. Don't have kids? I run a 21+ community art social once a month at the Evergreen Bottle Shop in mountlake terrace and it's always a good time and it's now donation based!
The tickets are kind of steep. Has anyone been to this and know whether or not the drink tickets are worth it? Like, how big of a pour is one ticket worth? Thanks!
