Big power outage on Delridge right now and everyone is just blowing through dead traffic lights. So many hard braking and near accidents. Saw 1 public shuttle driver just sitting at the light while cars were backing up behind him.

I've had Burger stop for the first time the other day and the reviews said to try the teriyaki Burger but I didn't see it on the menu so I had the mushroom burger and it was great. I went back today and asked for the teriyaki burger but when I got my order it wasn't even a hamburger! It's chicken teriyaki on a bun with cheese?!?!?! I'm all for throwing money away but this did not make the perfect end to an already messed up week. I won't even show you the picture of the inside because it's disgusting and it wasn't even good. I did manage to take a bite. Harrumph.
Art, game production, game design, technical art and audio design account for 77 of the 277 positions listed in the filing. Software engineering is the largest single category, totaling 60 roles. [...] Out of that global total, 268 were in Xbox Game Studios, part of a restructuring designed to return the games division to growth and profitability. Microsoft cut 605 Washington jobs in July as part of 4,800 layoffs worldwide at the time. The company eliminated more than 15,000 positions globally across two rounds in 2025. ~ 252 of these jobs were on the Redmond campus, and the next Halo now gets made somewhere else. Returning the games division to growth apparently starts by removing the people who make the games.
It’s disappointing to see an important conversation about neighborhood dynamics in Burien removed. Communities aren’t strengthened by allowing only comfortable conversations. Sometimes people need a place to talk honestly about harmful behavior, difficult neighbors, and the social dynamics affecting where they live. Shutting down a legitimate discussion simply because it’s contentious does a disservice to the community. Moderation should keep a conversation safe and productive, not make uncomfortable subjects disappear.
Was doom scrolling through marketplace and found this little gem. Anyone wanna take credit for it? The post reads: “Free manager. Once held sentimental value. Well beyond expiration date. Features terrible decision making and ability to drive your favorite team into the ground. WARNING!! Will disappoint you! Please, for the love of god come take him off our hands! Available promptly 9/27 evening after the last game of the season. Immediate porch pick up from the curb of T-Mobile Stadium. Will happily pay for shipping. Comes with Jerry Dipoto, must take both. Will throw in team owners for free. Sincerely, All of Seattle “
Can anyone recommend an antenna that receives local broadcasts below education hill? I’ve tried a couple powered units and can’t get to the roof and install anything as a renter.
Hey all, so I'm just posting because I hadn't heard any followup or results after the Monorail exposure in the Seattle groups earlier this month. I'll admit this was a summary generated by Gemini, and I'm sorry to use that as content, but it was helpful, and if you like you can dive into it further, but I'm on my lunch hour. This is... interesting, and I've definitely not visited Monorail since then. Feel free to reply and we'll discuss! - CaptMurphy "Monorail Espresso has not faced any critical penalizations, fines, or closures following the viral Reddit thread exposing allegedly unsanitary workspaces at their downtown locations. [1, 2] Health Inspection Results Following the public complaints, Public Health – Seattle & King County conducted an inspection of the coffee shop. Monorail Espresso subsequently posted a physical notice at their Pike Street location stating that "no crucial violations were observed" by the health inspector. [1] Why No Penalties Were Given According to follow-up discussions on the r/Seattle subreddit, any issues documented by the health department fell into the category of "non-critical violations". Under King County food safety regulations, non-critical violations (such as generalized maintenance or minor structural cleanliness issues) do not trigger immediate financial penalties or business shutdowns; instead, the business is simply given a directive to correct them. [1] Pushback from Management Behind the scenes, Monorail Espresso's management contacted the r/Seattle mod team to request the removal of the original viral post, claiming it amounted to "deliberate misinformation and false statements of fact". The moderators declined to remove the thread, citing that they are not arbiters of absolute truth, and invited the business to post a public response instead—an offer management ultimately did not take up on the thread."
