Rainier for Robert. Coming up on 3 years with no movement in the cold case of my cousin, Robert Rathvon, who was killed in a hit and run in Poulsbo, Washington. I still won’t give up and let his life and tragic end be forgotten. According to some older lady friends of mine (who are just friends of course) I am what is called "cougar bait." Regardless whether that's a good thing for me, I believe in playing to my strengths. And Seattle and the whole area is a hotbed of this kind of thing, so I've heard. Folks, where is the best place and when is the best time for a guy to hang out and find older women to vibe with - over drinks, dinner, or anything else? I'm (30s M) originally from the Bay Area, love to read (book recs always welcome) and appreciate the arts, especially classical music and dance of all forms. Feel free to hit me up in DMs! Open to meeting anyone not just the aforementioned lovely cougars 😜 Caveat: I have checked out Cougar Mountain but none of the houses there were affordable.
Just in case you still thought Upthegrove would be even remotely better than Franz, or a conservationist at all.
The location on 170th by Dough Zone and Taco Bell will close with its last day being tomorrow, 9/26, as part of a wider wave of closures. It's the only unionized corporate Starbucks in Redmond. If you sympathize with the impacted workers, spread the word that Starbucks Workers United has called for a boycott of Starbucks until a contract is signed.
Does anyone know any good/affordable personal trainers in the area? I’m a guy in my early 30s living in Seattle, and I'm looking to hire a personal trainer. My main goal right now is to put on some muscle and get a solid, consistent routine down. I'd ideally love to find someone located in or around the Ballard or Green Lake areas since those are closest to me, but I have a car and am totally willing to travel anywhere else in the city for the right person. I'm hoping to find someone who is not overly expensive. I know trainer rates can vary wildly, so if you have any recommendations for independent trainers, private studios, or local gyms that won't absolutely break the bank, that’d be great.
Hi All, We have a lost/stray kitten in our neighborhood that has been coming around for the past few weeks. Posting here to see if anyone might have lost a kitten? Or if anyone in this area would like to take it in? DM me if you have any info or are interested.
Moved to the east coast (middle of no where) from the CD and this is the most shocking cultural difference I’ve come across. I’m sure there are similar stick-shaped maple glaze donuts around, but no one here knows what a maple bar is by name. Didn’t realize they’re a regional thing. I was genuinely so baffled at this information. Are these not common knowledge? They’re my #1 choice in the donut assortment box. In fact, I’ve taken from an assorted box within the past month here and there was nothing maple at all. Insanity
Saw an ICE SUV pulling into the mini mart next to War Pony Xpress on Portland Ave yesterday afternoon around 2:30pm. Be careful around the Eastside. Stay safe from these weirdos!!!
