My best friend is going through a rough time and I’d like to send her some food, since she tends to not eat under stress. I do not know Seattle, but the map says she is near the Highland Park/White Center area. Please share your fav spots around SW Seattle that I can treat her with this evening. She is not a picky eater, but loves loaded tots and Mexican food!

I am thinking about moving towards Seattle and I want to get some rec’s on neighborhoods and cool things to explore before I go on an apartment hunting trip. I have been to seattle about a dozen times before for work purposes. I have walked frontwards and backwards the whole area around Pike Place. From there I have explored on foot as far out as the space needle, Unicorn bar, and REI. I’ve worked at the Showbox Sodo a few times as well, and walked around that area. I have seen the amazon domes, and I’ve eaten a lot of amazing food south of downtown, I believe that’s chinatown? What else do I need to see? Top of my list right now is to explore capital hill and the university district. Mostly because I can afford the rent there and they have a transit line running through them. I am also definitely taking a day to go see Mt. Rainer. I have been before, but I love the outdoors so I am going for a hike again. I would love to find stuff like - a local game store - small concert venues - Poetry readings - farmers markets - used book stores - third spaces to work or chill in (cafes inclusive) - Anything you think is signature Seattle culture I am kind of a giant fucking nerd, so I don’t have a ton of reasons to get out of the house. Where I live now also sucks, so it only reinforces that. I am hoping that I will find something to do outside my home by moving into a proper city, and I am interested in engaging with community by like volunteering and trying to make local friends. If you have any suggestions of neighborhoods you think i would like, or things to go to when I next visit please let me know.
Looking for a spot either in Queen Anne, SLU, Bellevue, or Capitol hill for a headspa place but that also does full body massages.
Anyone know what may be moving in now? I know previously there was news of Lifetime fitness bur I heard that fell through. Definitely something goin on.
Anyone else experiencing this? Haven’t heard it in a few months but tonight it’s back and it’s not a hum but a loud, periodic rumble… almost sounds like jet planes or strong gusts of wind shaking things up in the junction tonight. Even with a very loud fan, it’s very disruptive. What is this??
Hello, I'm looking to help my friend get into a Partial Hospitalization Program and I was wondering if Thira does drug testing.
Whats the best fall date pumpkin patch with a corn maze? Or mixture of the two for fall dates? Willing to drive to Tumwater or Seattle Bellevue
Anyone know a psychiatrist or medical provider who actually prescribes ALL medications? I have had a terrible time trying to find someone who actually listens when I tell them I have a crazy high medication tolerance and need high doses and specific medication to actually be effective. Everyone just keeps thinking I'm drug-seeking even though I have no history and no evidence of it. It's ridiculous that all these people who are supposed to help you refuse to prescribe the medication that actually helps you. I know my body better than anyone, I know my body composition and what works for me, but I can't get a prescription for my extreme panic attacks even though I take "certain (starts with C)" medication responsibly and as prescribed! If anyone knows who prescribes all types of medication and doesn't think every patient is drug-seeking. I would appreciate it.
Hey Redmond! 🎲✨ I'm one of the organizers of Banter on Board, an active, women-focused board game community in the Eastside/Greater Seattle area. We’ve had so many wonderful members joining us from Redmond over the past few months that we are officially launching dedicated Redmond chapter meetups! Whether you’re completely new to modern board games or a long-time hobbyist, our goal is simply to create a warm, inclusive space for women to hang out, make local friends, and enjoy some great table time together. What our meetups look like: Games we play: Everything from quick, fun icebreakers and gateway titles (Codenames, Cascadia, Splendor, Wingspan) to thematic strategy games and engine-builders. Zero experience needed: We teach all the rules from scratch, so you never have to worry about knowing how to play beforehand! A real local network: Our members range from tech professionals and finance folks to educators, moms, and students..it’s a fantastic group of welcoming, smart, and fun women. (I’ve attached a couple of photos from our recent Eastside table nights so you can see the vibe!) We host regular sessions across local library branches, community spaces, and cafes. If you’re living in Redmond (or nearby Sammamish/Issaquah/Bellevue) and have been looking for a fun weekend or weekday evening activity, we’d love to have you at our next table! If you'd like to check out what we play or follow along with upcoming Redmond event dates, feel free to drop a comment below or check us out on Instagram (@banteronboard) or Facebook (facebook.com/banteronboard). Hope to see some of you at the tables soon! ♟️🃏
I just moved from Renton to West Seattle on the 1st and am currently dealing with water coming in under the exterior walls of my apartment and pooling. When it rained back on the 13th I came home from work to find puddles of water in my living room and bedroom I was able to clean it up with the limited towels I have and luckily it didn’t rain much but all they did was bring in a large dehumidifier and put caulking along the outside of the wall. I was about to go to bed and heard it raining from my window and decided to look at the wall only to see it’s currently leaking again. What are my options?
