Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce our group, share a bit of our journey, and connect with the amazing tabletop community here on Reddit. A little while ago, we started a local group called Banter on Board in the Greater Seattle area (hosting regular meetups across Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond, and expanding across WA). What began as a small desire to create a welcoming, consistent space for women to gather and play hobby board games has grown into a vibrant community of over 700+ members! Our heart and soul is 100% focused on physical, in-person table time. On any given week, we have multiple physical tables running simultaneously across our different venue locations.. packed with real players opening boxes, setting up boards, and getting games played again and again! Whether it's gateway favorites like Codenames and Wingspan, thematic strategy titles, or deep engine-builders, our tables are constantly filled with laughter, deep tactical debates, and awesome people connecting over shared hobbies. A few things we’ve learned/loved along the way: The power of real table energy: In a digital world, nothing beats sitting down around a physical board, unboxing components, and teaching new rules to someone who’s never played before. Inclusivity brings out incredible players: Our community brings together women from all walks of life.. tech engineers, bankers, educators, moms, and hardcore hobbyists. Seeing people discover new favorite mechanics week after week has been one of the most rewarding parts of hosting! Active playtesting & supporting indie games: Because we run so many tables at every meetup, our members really enjoy playtesting new prototypes, giving rulebook/pacing feedback, and cheering on indie designers as they bring new projects to life. (I’ve attached a video from our recent chapter meetup above so you can see the multi-table setups and genuine energy!) We’re always eager to connect with other organizers, swap favorite table-tested titles, and chat about all things tabletop! If you’d like to follow along with our meetups or see what’s hitting our tables each week, feel free to connect with us on Instagram (@banteronboard) or Facebook (facebook.com/banteronboard). We’d love to connect with other meetup hosts, local gamers, and game designers in the community. To fellow organizers: How do you handle game rotation across multiple tables or venues? To designers/publishers: What are your favorite ways to engage with local playgroups? To local WA gamers: If you’re in the PNW area and looking for a welcoming table, come say hi! :) Thanks for reading, and happy gaming everyone! 🎲

Does anyone know if you can get a pelvic ultrasound at zoomcare in Bellevue at their mini ER? I think I have an ovarian cyst and my OB can’t get me in. I’d like to avoid the ER if possible, making a quick appt would be great. Their site says they do imaging and I’ve had an x ray done there before but it’s unclear if they have the capability and they’re difficult to contact. Thank you!

I am looking for the person who broke my phone. Yesterday at around 5:30 pm, I was running from lake union park towards fremont, when out of nowhere, a cyclist crashed into me from behind. We got tangled with his bike and both fell to the ground, I immediatly got up with a few scratches on my hands and a bruised knee, but nothing serious, I looked at him and asked him "Are you ok?". He responded very ashamed and apologizing "Yes I'm ok. I'm sorry, that was totally my fault. Are you ok?". I told him I was fine, and realized he probably got the worse of it, he was slowly getting up and he had spilled his coffee which was on the bike handle. He apologized again and I told him it was alright, and there was no harm done, just a little blood. Since nothing serious happened to me and I was in the middle of my run, I just said goodbye and left. When I finished my run, I took out my phone and oh surprise! the back of my phone was completely smashed, glass shattered. In retrospective, it was dumb of me not to check my phone after that... The moral dilema is interesting: The crash was clearly his fault and if I had checked my phone right there, I am sure he would have offered to pay for it (he looked like a nice guy). But because I didn't, even if I see him face to face right now, I could not confront him and "force" him to pay for it, because there is no evidence he smashed it, its just my word agains his and I could be lying (I am not). I have one ask for you, kind redditors, and one lesson: First, if you are this person, DM me. I expect nothing from you, but I am very interested to know what you have to say about this. Second, end the seattle freeze. If I had just helped him get up, asked him his name and stablished a 30 seconds conversation, I am sure I would have looked at my phone and this story would have been different
My wife and I just saw something fly over the stadium district around Division and N I St. It was long and black and completely silent with green lights. This happened at about 9:15pm tonight. It was headed west from the east. We were in the car and so it was hard to really see it for long before it passed over a tree line. It seemed to be flying pretty low. It was not a drone or a set of drones as we could both make out a shape that was long and skinny. I could not say how big it was as I could not judge how high in the air it was. But it seemed pretty low which is what attracted our attention. Just putting this up to see if anyone else saw this. I’m not saying it was a UFO and don’t really have any skin in that game. But it was weird and unlike anything either of us have ever seen.
My partner is moving up to Canada he mentioned before how much he think it would look cool in the window. I’ll pay but the (3) stores I asked have said no.
