The Seattle Social Housing Developer is posting on LinkedIn about their staff learning about social housing in Vienna. Look, I get that it's better to learn in person, and you get a lot out of immersion. I'm sure this has been helpful. But it seems like a bad look. I assume this trip is paid for by the taxpayers, people are living on the streets, budgets are tight, and oh yeah, SSHD is not exactly cranking out units. In my years working in the nonprofit mines, I don't think I ever head of anyone going to Europe to learn about how to do their work here.

So for context this we live in the CD, new neighbors, small little tiny house complex but no touching walls. These new neighbors move in and they keep their small and aggressive dogs in the backyard that everyone has to walk past to get out of the complex. These dogs both yap but one of them is nonstop. This dog YAPS brother, I mean it goooooes on and on. It’s high pitched and when you walk past the fence it’s almost funny how hard this little thing tries to get at you. I feel bad for the dog because it’s literally always out there but man oh man this thing yaps. The neighbors are very insular, offered to help them move furniture and am friendly and overall nice neighbor but they don’t want it. That’s fine, I mind my business. The other 3 townhouse dwellers we all know and are very amenable with and help each other. Is there anything I can do about this? I’ve asked if they could bring them inside more often but they tell me it’s their backyard, so I have tried talking to them. I’d be happy to record the percentage of day via sound logging. I’m an engineer I’ll track data and whip up a ESP32 device to rock this dogs world. Edit: I’m not anti this dog I’m anti this dog’s owner. He’s actually a pretty funny dude when he’s trying to get at my toes. He’s even gotten out once and when he did I think he was a bit surprised and was very sweet when he realized there was no fence holding him back any longer. I will probably go the ultrasonic route that has some noise detection. Thank you all it’s a good idea.

Seattle freeze? People are nicer in Seattle than any place I’ve ever been. Everyone loves talking. Socializing. People seem happy here. Traffic? Sort of. In certain neighborhoods at rush hour. Similar to most cities of its size. Expensive? Moved here from Portland which is as or more expensive. Yeah, going for a glass of wine in the wrong neighborhood can result in very expensive. But the whole city isn’t like that. Need to find your spots. Here is my ask Seattle question: Was it like that before but not now? Was it never like that? Most of the complaints I’ve heard are from people of Portland which is where I was born and raised. I’ve been hearing about how terrible Seattle is since I was born. I just love it. It’s interesting, jaw dropping beautiful, melancholy, intellectual, funny, different and has a lot of soul.

Pierce Transit has launched new resources to help community members learn more about Proposition 1, which will appear on the November 3 General Election ballot. The new interactive map allows users to explore the service improvements included in Prop 1. Use the map to compare your current route with proposed changes, see proposed new routes and seasonal trolleys, and explore how access to destinations like healthcare facilities, parks and schools could improve.

I'm not in the market to fully commit to the gym right now, and I like to bounce around. I don't care about classes, I like it when its either spacious or known for not being busy. I love luxurious locker rooms, and focus on recovery such as sauna, spa, steam room.... I'm located in North Seattle but I'm willing to bounce around. Thanks so much
