I’m aware evergreen foliage predominates in the region, but it would be gorgeous to see fiery reds and golds against deep green conifers or lining mountain passes. Any recommendations? I know the Seattle Japanese Garden and Kubota Garden are gorgeous in late October and early November, but I’m looking for something wilder and less known and accessible, perhaps in the north cascades, rainier, or the Olympics. Higher elevation foliage turns earlier, which is why I am asking now.
I’m a big escape/mystery room and puzzle enthusiast and will be visiting my brother in a couple months who lives in Kirkland. I often visit downtown when I’m there. Love the city. What are some escape rooms you’d recommend? I’ve played a lot of them alone (by paying for 2 people and/or paying for extra sometimes) because I love the experience of unlocking everything all by myself lol But I’m assuming a lot of them here wouldn’t allow it. That’s okay. Any theme is okay honestly. But they should be fun and challenging!
Hi community, We are looking for recommendations for a reasonable and genuine packers and movers to move 2BR worth of items within Redmond. Any reco. for who works around Bellevue/Sammamish/Seattle area, also welcome. Looking forward to your pointers. Any reviews or suggestions of whom we must NOT select, based on your poor experience, are welcome as well. Thanks!
I'm relocating within the Eastside and looking for someone to take over my lease at Alley 111 in downtown Bellevue. I've lived here since April 2025. 1BR/1BA, about 606 sq ft, 3rd floor, Juliet balcony In-unit W/D, central AC/heat, garage parking $2,320/mo (the building currently lists this layout at about $2,737) $0 deposit, since the building already holds mine Lease ends April 1, 2027, available now Gym, roof deck and lounge, package lockers, bike storage 7-minute walk to Bellevue Transit Center and light rail, about 15 minutes to Seattle The lease is short because I'm moving mid-term. Couch, queen bed, and air fryer are available separately if you want them. Happy to do a FaceTime or in-person tour. DM me with questions.
SPD blocked off the entire 1st ave and routed all northbound drivers through holgate where the gates have been closed the last 10 minutes with no train... i'm literally going to be late for work now despite leaving 30 minutes esrlier... at 10pm?? I can't find anything that says anything about this closure either. So frustrating. Desperate to find a reason why this happened.

We found this sweet guy today and are hoping someone recognizes him or knows his family. He’s a medium/large dog, probably around 50–60 lbs, and not neutered. He had no collar. He was at the location in the photo and ended up following us while we were walking/running. Unfortunately, he started running into the street and making cars stop, so a friend picked us up so we could get him somewhere safe. We took him to a 24/7 emergency vet to see if he had a microchip, but unfortunately he isn’t chipped. He is honestly one of the sweetest and best-behaved dogs I’ve ever met. He knows sit, is extremely friendly, and within a short amount of time he was already cuddled up on the couch with my girlfriend. He clearly seems like he came from a loving home and is very comfortable around people. We really want to find his family and avoid taking him to a shelter if possible. I unfortunately can’t keep him long-term. I live in a small apartment and don’t think it would be fair for such a big guy to be stuck here, but he is an absolute lover and has been so sweet to us despite just meeting us. We’re currently considering PAWS or Forever Home Dog Rescue, but we’re definitely open to recommendations for other rescues or organizations that may be able to help while we look for his family. If you recognize him or know who he belongs to, please DM me or text 360-746-9495 and please share this so we can hopefully get this guy back home!
Hello all. Hubby and I will be visiting your fair city for a concert soon. Understand we are country bumpkins who don't get to the city much. Planning on taking the train from seatac to Westlake station. Seems pretty straight forward. Once there, we will need to go to Fairfield marriot downtown. Is it a walkable distance? Or is it better to get a taxi, Uber or bus? Is this a reasonably safe area in general? Also same question applies from hotel to climate pledge arena? We won't be dragging around a bunch of luggage. Looking forward to visiting, just not sure how to best get around once there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
I was thinking if it’s possible to hire a person or two to follow that annoying preacher at games to drown out his megaphone. Like they would follow him around and play every time he starts talking and stops when he stops. Is there a law against this?
