I moved here in January and was hit very hard by the weather from January-March. I loved being here in the summer although I didn't really have the time to fully explore the natural beauty. I've been trying to make friends, join different groups, and find my community but I'm not feeling like Seattle is for me. It feels very lonely and it's hard to establish connections which is affecting my mental health.

Hi everyone! I’ll be commuting into Seattle for work and will be taking the Sounder to King Street Station. For those who work around the Columbia Center, what’s the easiest/most convenient way to get from King Street Station to the Columbia Center? Is it an easy walk, or would you recommend taking the light rail or another option? Also, roughly how long does the walk take, especially in the morning? Thanks!

Hi! I'm going to be in Seattle for the next few months and am looking for a place to sublet or get a short term lease. I need housing from October through December. Looking primarily on the east side (Redmond, Bellevue) but am also open to living in Seattle too preferably in SLU or Queen Anne. It would also be amazing if it was furnished but I'm pretty open due to the amount of time I have to find a place. If anyone knows complexes that accept short term leases I would rlly appreciate it.

I’m 21, just moved here after college and I don’t know anybody. I’m wondering what kinds of activities or events happen around here where I might be able to meet people around my age? I’m not a big drinker and I don’t like sports, so I’m usually into things that revolve around art, books, music, and movies. I’ve gone to a couple little art workshops and stuff, but everyone else there has been a lot older than me which just isn’t exactly what I’m looking for. Any recommendations?

I was once just like you, going to Mox, playing draft or pre-release, and ripping packs. But that time is behind me and i wish to pass the torch onto the new magic generation. I have a 40+ unopened packs, mostly ATLA and Tarkir, more than thousand cards, and some known high value cards worth some real money. But i really dont have time to sort through it all and my loss is your gain! Looking for a buyer. Please send me a DM an i can send you more details and we can talk about what price makes sense. estimating that the whole lot is likely worth about $350 in resale value, but open to negotiation and more interesting in finding someone who wants them so they dont go to waste.

These two guys got on at Othello Station. They were both wearing face masks, hats pulled down over their head and hoodies over it. One kept his gloves on while the other peeled them off. They were rubber disposable gloves. The laptop he has there was property of Seattle public school. They were blasting music and smoking. I notified security and gave them the car number description of the perpetrators and where they were sitting. After a couple stops security got on board, walked by them, stood there for a second then walked off. Then I got another message asking for a description because they couldn't find them. They got off at Capitol Hill station.

Fellow Tacomans, Asking you all to please look out for my friends Bible. He (lesson learned the hard way :( ) left his backpack in the back of their family car & had their window smashed & the backpack stolen. All he cares to retrieve back is his Bible in it: a letter from his grandma (since passed) , a letter from his Dad, the two first ultrasounds of their children & a Polaroid of his wife from their first date. Black leather Bible , ESV It's a long shot but we've seen crazier things happen thanks to reddit. If you see a book thrown on the side of the road, if you're at a thrift store in the book section, if you see a book sticking out of the trash can I hope you'll stop to just peek. If by some wonder you stole a lululemon backpack out of a trunk recently, really all they want is the bible back. Toss it back on the yard, no questions asked. It was in a lululemon back pack, stolen from the dometop area. Thanks in advance 🧡

Hi all! I am looking to get some antiques appraised, however I have absolutely no idea where to go or who to contact. I have a few set of antique China, and some furniture. Does anyone know where I can go?

I have a few days off of work and I have a chance to escape the stupid Texan heat and visit Washington. I don't want to spend it all inside the city, honestly I just want greenery, some peace and quiet, and cool weather. Maybe some wholesome or cute places to see. I'm up for getting hotels in the city or outside it. If you had 2 full days to explore, where would you go? I can't do extremely long hikes right now, i had a foot surgery in December and I'm still building my walking tolerance. I can do up to 1.5-2 miles at a time right now. Maybe it seems silly to want something so simple, it's just been a while since I could walk, let alone in nature, and this seemed like a good time to do both now that I'm starting to do better. Any suggestions? Thank you.
