So, I keep getting these videos on Facebook where a bunch of people are in a fun dance class. It's usually a combo of disco, line dance, and hip hop steps, not too complicated but not just a bunch of boring reps. Does anyone know of something like that around here? (60F as you might have guessed from the FB reference).

New to town and have seen shows at both the Showbox by Pike Place and Showbox SODO in the past month and they might be the worst venues I’ve ever been to? If you’re under 5’10 absolutely no chance of being able to see the stage from nearly any vantage point, including the 21+ section Which by the way - is the no hard liquor outside of the 21+ section a thing in all Seattle venues? I didn’t see signage for it anywhere so I bought a vodka soda and was disappointed I had to chug it upstairs instead of trying to secure a place in the pit. Both shows I saw were bands I love and have seen live before and they put on great performances themselves. I just felt insane (and very disappointed) because I couldn’t SEE ANYTHING? Is this just me? I’ve been to a good number of smaller venues across the country and I feel like worst case you can usually back way up to see the show if you’re fine not being directly in the throng of people. I’ve never once not been able to see the performer if I tried hard enough. Is it because these venues usually have a sloping floor and the showbox venues don’t? Am I missing something? Any tips/tricks to make it better? It’s to the point where if an artist I care about is performing at one of these venues I will probably travel out of state to see them.

Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised by the food at 1928 Tap & Grill. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out hot. The beef short ribs were especially good, and the portions were generous. It’s one of those places where you come in for a quick meal and end up wanting to come back. They also have karaoke, so it’s a fun place to grab some food, have a drink, and sing with friends. 📍 1928 Tap & Grill 14525 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133

Hello I had a last minute flight delay and ended up in Seattle. Anyone here would take me in as a guest at the mercury machinewerks venue. As I am not a local I am not interested in being a member right now! I am 31M. I don’t mind being sober but I might have 2-3 drinks. Thanks in advance

Hi friends I’ve been planning a Halloween event for months now and I need to know the best way to invite kind, wrestling nerds who are also caring people who are down for a Halloween wrestling rave with our furry friends. The goal is to create a safe space where everyone can dance and enjoy. We have an awesome comedian coming named JoJo Blacco, party girl Yuri Tadory and her gangsta clown marionette are coming to party with us! We have food and drinks and some drag queens and kings as well as amazing DJs ! I threw a successful event last year in Olympia, Washington this year we are in Seattle Washington. We have a much bigger venue and some really cool talent coming! We’re also raising money for TRACTION (short for Trans community action) Most of our talented artists are people of color, trans or non-binary and we are supporting everyone by paying them (not asking for volunteer time) Our headliner is Airospace. You may have heard of their music but more than likely: You have definitely seen them on Instagram with their “good morning gang” videos. We love their positivity and fresh outlook and their music is fire. And if you can’t make it to the show, I hope you’ll check them out on Instagram and Patreon.com/airospvce My ask is this: what’s the most transparent but safe way to get this event in front of people? Would you cone to an event that is raising funds to help relocate trans folks to safety? Also for our furry friends that want to dance in their first suits, we have a separate entrance and security checkpoint that you can safely enter as a human + change your clothes privately, and enter the party from a separate entrance as your fursona I have faced a few exhausting challenges in planning this once people find out that we are raising money for trans people all of a sudden people are trans phobic We have a really amazing event planned, and I would happily accept any volunteers in the Seattle area that would like to help us be our street team and help let ppl know! On instagram @hauntedbeatdown Ticket link is ticketstripe.com/hauntedbeatdown And earlybird GA is $22 until Oct. 1

Have to share this kind of traumatizing but also cool(?) experience. I was running in Discovery Park. ~7:15pm, not dark yet but getting there. Just after the bench near the side trail to the beach, on that downhill section toward the meadow before it gets all sandy, I felt something hit my head HARD. I thought a branch might have fallen on me. I looked around and didn’t see anything, but luckily a couple was walking nearby and told me “that owl attacked you.” There I see a large owl on a tree branch (not on the trail, a good distance off, this will be important later). I took a picture, gathered myself, and started running again. And then it attacked me AGAIN. It was unmistakably the feeling of talons hitting me in the head. Pretty hard! I got the owl’s message and didn’t try to run that way again. The couple witnessed the second attack and kindly took me under their wing (lol) to join the rest of their walk out of the park. Now I’m just kind of shaken up and wondering what it is that made the owl attack. The couple said the owl looked like it clearly targeted me (like I said it had flown decently off the path between attacks). Did it not like my neon pink shirt?? Was I too fast and speedy??? My head’s a little scratched up, but I’ll be fine. I’m mostly just shaken up and can still feel the feeling of the talons on my head. Anyway, be safe out there! And thank you, kind passersby! Pictured here is the owl between attacks. Sincerely, A person who did a lot of work to overcome her childhood fear of birds
