It goes without saying that if you own a dog in the city, you need to be on top of your shit. Most of yall are and I appreciate you greatly! That said I’m so sick of explaining to stupid people that your dogs excitatory bullshit isn’t always going to be tolerated by other people or dogs for that matter. Went to a small dog park with my Chihuahua hoping to get a bathroom break in and was met with this unruly, idiotic, dog owner and they’re overexcited fucking puppy who would not fucking stop jumping on my dog. The owner made no effort to remove their dog from mine all while my dog is making it abundantly clear he doesn’t wanna be touched by this dog (mind you I’m standing at the ready to break them up while the owner is failing at calming their dog down). It was only after they threw the ball in the wrong direction and ended up hiking it out of the dog park that they left us alone, but then they threw the ball in the direction of my dog, it made a miracle bounce and hit my dog in the butt while he was pooping! And of course the puppy was all over my dog after that while my dog was still telling them to back off, so we left. Genuinely, why are stupid people allowed to own dogs in this state. This has to be one of the dumbest folks I’ve ever run into. Just because YOU tolerate your dog’s excitability (barely she was pretty fed up about couldn’t seem to take the hint) doesn’t mean everyone else does too! If you’re incapable of calming your dog down or taking the steps to do so when you clearly know it’s an issue, you are a bad owner and you need more training than even your dog.

Hello! I recently started tutoring students near Shoreline CC using a room at a neighbor house on 160th and Greenwood -ish. (That neighbor is out of the country, so I can't ask them about this just yet!) The last few nights, and subsequent early mornings, several of us have heard what appears to be loud human wailing outside ...(not exactly yelling, not exactly crying, not sure how to describe it) and we are unsure exactly where it is coming from. It's really unsettling. It is definitely not a TV or recorded sound, and we have gone outside a few times but don't see anything. It keeps going often until 10 or 11, on and off. Kinda sounds like someone trying to imitate a spooky ghost.... maybe? Is anyone close by this area that might be able to help us figure out what is going on or if it is something we should be concerned about? I'm juggling teaching, tutoring, and allergies so I apologize for not having more clarity right now! - Millie

Hey all, sorry if this question has been asked before. I have a 2.5 year old son. He’s not in daycare as we have family close that helps us care for him. Currently he doesn’t have a ton of exposure to kids his age and I’d like to change that. My husband and I both work full time so my mom watches him often and takes him to the park and story time etc. However I would like to find a meetup, group or activity that happens on my schedule so that I can take him as well, and maybe meet some new people myself. I already have Saturday story time at the library flagged but are there any other cool meetups/groups/activities in the area that are recommended?

I LOVEEEEEE Mercury's coffee! Even better than Starbucks ! May I know if anyone knows the recipe of their fusion mocha coffee???? I forgot if their syrups were Monin or Torani or something, it's been over a year since I left WA and I miss it very badly 😭😭😭😭 Someone please DM if they know anything, thanks in advance! Ideally, I'd also love to have an opportunity to work there so I can return to WA and be happy that my life doesn't suck, Texas is the reason why it feels so

hey guys, im living at uw and am trying to see poison girl friend at the crocodile on the 28th. its a pretty straight shot via light rail, but part of the journey is a projected 15min walk. the concert's at 8pm, so it'll be pretty late before i can get back. im from washington but pretty new to seattle and definitely nighttime seattle, so idk anything about the levels of safety in the area aside from nighttime city = risky. the plan is to hustle and walk from the venue to westlake station, ride to u district, and hustle on back to campus. tl;dr: is it safe for me, 18f, to be at and around the crocodile from 8pm to later that night alone and then make the trip back to uw? theres a post from a couple years ago asking a similar question, and most responses were positive. i just wanted to make sure that that still holds up.
