Eating at the Family Pancake House on Redmond way right now and some type of conservative group reserved the side room. They have the curtain closed and the main speaker is spewing some interesting “red wave” talk. I heard the word antifa at least eight times so far. Also we are very woke and wokeness is killing us. Also Christian’s need to come out and vote more bc then a red wave would happen. I can’t hear too much, and the workers here can’t tell me what group they are. They already ate but have been talking for about fifteen minutes. Just a very bizarre situation! Just walked outside and this car was here. Gross.

You remember this place from the 90s? I think it was on greenwood up on the north end, definitely north of 85th. English/welsh pub. Good times. ChatGPT and Claude are gaslighting me into thinking it never was…
Hello Seattle, I have a group of friends flying in to visit me here for Halloween. I'm trying to put a list of activities/events/etc. we can either make reservations for (if needed) or can just pop in and try. It is 3 guys 3 girls and all mid 20's and pretty much up for anything including driving out of the city for fun outdoor things too. We only have the weekend of Halloween Friday-Sunday (flying in Thursday flying out Monday).
Visiting from out of town this weekend for the UW vs Minnesota game on Saturday. Staying in West Lake area. What are the bars we should check out? Love a good dive. Thanks in advance!
Just moved to Seattle, not the most outgoing type here.. how do I meet new friends? I love hiking, city walks, thrifting, cafe hoping, bar hoping etc..

I was curious if Seattle City Light's Time of Use Rates would be worth it for me. You can download a CSV of your energy use in 15 min increments from the SCL website. This is my household's use ytd. Switching to Time of Use rates would have increased my bill by 6% (Obviously without optimizing for night-time use of electricity). I put the formulas below if you want to do your own analysis. YMMV greatly :) Electricity cost in 2026 by time of day, blue standard rate, orange time of use rate. Standard Rate Energy per kWh = $0.13 =[@[IMPORT (kWh)]]*0.13 Time of Use Rate Peak Energy Charge per kWh $0.16 (Peak hours are when electricity is most expensive. This will be from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except on observed holidays.) Mid-Peak Energy Charge per kWh $0.14 (Mid-peak hours will be from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays and observed holidays, mid-peak pricing applies all day from 6 a.m. to midnight (with no peak hours).) Off-Peak Energy Charge per kWh $0.08 (Off-peak hours are when electricity cost is lowest. This will be from midnight to 6 a.m. every day.) =IF([@[START TIME]] 0.7,[@[START TIME]]
After reading about the weird ass foreign meat that is being mixed into our ground beef here, I would really like to find US stamped ground beef. I could not find any at Safeway. I use 96% lean specifically. Any suggestions on where to go?
My wife and I are staying in the area for just one night at the tail end of our Washington trip. We are eyeing the Silver Cloud hotels but I see there is the older Tacoma Waterfront location and the newer Point Ruston location. Both seem nice. We don't need anything crazy, just a nice view and decent food. Is the Ruston location worth the extra cash, or should we just go the cheaper route? What do you guys prefer? Thanks in advance!
It literally took half of my gas tank to escape the crazy ass traffic on an "express" freeway 💀 Can we all do better defend and not let those big trucks merge last minute to the express lane PLEASE, it frooze both of the lanes
