This was on Saturday at Pike Place in Seattle, WA. I overheard people call them, "clowns." That's a weird way to spell ’god damn heroes’.

Microwave gave up. I understand that I cannot just dump it in the community recycle bin. I called best buy and they are asking for $199 and somebody will haul it away. Are there any facilities in the east side area that recycles appliances? I’m okay paying a nominal fee but $199 is absurd.
i’m in everett WA and i love working out but id love to experience boot camps or some kind of group that works out outside for a few hours or so. maybe on weekends or something ?? i just sometimes am sick of the gym and want some fun outside
Why do you have to celebrate the festival at such a big scale in the open? It’s such an inconvenience to everyone on the road and all around. The music is so loud. The worst part is these are some of the most educated Indians and they create a scene. For reference I’m from Mumbai, I know how these festivals are celebrated. But brining the same thing to another country trying to create the same atmosphere of “worship” is just gonna make people hate us more. Indians need to understand that all these festivals can be had indoors and not force such a spectacle.
Curious if anybody knows what's going on at Issaquah Post Office? The lobby was locked up at 7 PM tonight (Sunday 9/20). We don't work traditional hours & get stuff from our PO box & drop things off in the parcel chute in the evenings pretty often... There has been a sign on the door that they're closing the lobby during early AM/overnight hours (2-5am)... which is understandable. Are they just shutting down the lobby completely on Sundays now?

Anyone else starting school tomorrow (Monday September 21) at Tacoma Community College? I am really scared. I know that this is the right choice for me. I worked really hard to get into the program I am starting. I am proud of my achievement. I need to do this because my current work situation is not paying enough (I have worked around 50 hours a week for almost 10 years just to squeak by). It is a big commitment. I have had to cut back on work to focus on a full time school schedule. Money will be tighter than ever and with the cost of things...well, I'd rather not think about it. I want to do well. I want to achieve this. I am not that familiar with Tacoma. I am not sure what coffee shops are cool. I don't know what libraries are quiet and good for studying. I don't know where to get dirt cheap food besides Winco. I would even consider dumpster diving TBH. Please give me some insider tips of cheap food spots. Please tell me what coffee shop is a good place to study and hang out. Please say something encouraging for the upcoming fall quarter. Heck, please tell me a joke! Thanks in advance.
We called non emergency services twice. The car is parked in a residential spot in my building and I don’t think the owner lives here. The dog is very friendly but clearly distressed. I gave it a little bit of kibbles and some water from my hand. Not sure what to do until someone arrives, the dog is wailing and keeping everyone awake.
I was waiting for the crosswalk light at the corner of Pioneer and 3 St SE with my two small kids when a huge black monster truck stopped at the light, going north on 3rd. My 4-year-old was marveling at this huge truck, then the light turned green and the m-f$&*er behind the wheel drove off and let out a huge cloud of black diesel smoke, leaving me and my kids coughing and running away. What is wrong with these people? I just can’t stop fantasizing about finding this a-hole and hurting him 😖. He had two kids in the car in the backseat too. Blonde teen boys. Great values he’s passing onto them. Just bullying behavior…
Hello, I am moving to seattle for work plan is to stay somewhere like Airbnb for 2 weeks and find a place for long term lease. But the airbnb is too expensive around $1000/week. What are my options? I would like somewhere near SLU/ Capitol hill/ Belltown. Also, need a place in these areas for long term lease, looking for studios. I would really appreciate a help.
