Lots of folks in suits going in with valet parking - and no it’s not for Monster Jam next door at Lumen lol

Hey 25F from Ohio, I’m looking to move to the Seattle area or around the city . My question I guess would be what areas are the best & what would you recommend. I’m a healthcare professional and currently enrolled in school again so I wouldn’t actually be moving till I graduate again. I’ve read a lot of different neighborhoods and it’s kinda a little confusing I’m from a small town but it heavy populated so it’s different than Seattle ( obviously) lol. I would love some recommendations and where to stay clear from. I love views and nature but I love the city life as well.
When would be a best time to visit Seattle, as far as weather is concerned? Mid October, end of April, or mid July?
Sorry to offend Californians, but Dick’s is much better than In-N-Out. Good work, Seattle!
I just paid $190 for an extremely OK haircut. I have short hair and the whole wash, cut, and dry took maybe 45 minutes. It's not perfect but it will work. The website said short cuts are $60+. Emphasis on the plus, I guess. I cannot pay $200 a month to get my hair cut, so I need recommendations. Looking for someone who works with trimmers and thinning sheers - yes, they are necessary. No, you cannot achieve the right cut on my hair without them. I have a lot of hair.
Anybody have experience actually eating one of these? 😳. This is in my backyard downtown, a couple of blocks from the convention center.
Compared to the rest of the city walking along Aurora feels like playing whack-a-mole with cars, there's car dealerships blocking the shoulder and nowhere safe to walk... especially if you need a wheelchair or mobility device.
I've had this happen multiple times now and I'm trying to figure out why. I order a whatever from amazon. My apartment building has a place where drivers deliver a package and you can pick it up later (locker storage). After it's delivered, I'll get a call from what appears to be a valid number. I answer, and it is what appears to be a real person mumbling something in a language I don't understand or recognize. I speak three languages (English, Spanish, Japanese) and recognize many more. This isn't any of them. They seem to be wanting me to say something, but after a few short sentences they hang up. I already know the package is there because I got an email/text/whatever, and there's never anything wrong with the package, it's just normal, exactly what I bought, no problems. So what is this? I know my building managers, and it's definitely none of them. Is this some kind of shitty step in the fulfillment process that drivers have to do now? To mumble incoherently that your package is here? Am I a pawn in a greater scheme? Am I helping to finally summon Cthulhu? IIRC it's been going on for a few months now. I rarely order things so it took a while for me to pick up on the change. Thanks fellows, and I'm happy about the earlier sunsettings too. Edit: To clarify, the calls are never in an angry tone and never feeling threatening. It's like you would make completing a business transaction, very normal, and then they suddenly drop off. I'm just trying to find out what's going on. Edit2: Ok I thought this might be a simple dumb thing I didn't know but I guess not. I'll keep track of numbers and dates if it happens again, recordings if I can figure that out. Thanks everyone.
The number of times I have seen people stop in the roundabout and jerk over, or people coming off the freeway and just go in without yielding has been crazy. I lived in places with lots of roundabouts, and they do help with flowing traffic - when designed properly . The roundabouts on 85th under 405 have extremely poor sightlines and is tighter than most in the area. Even if people get "used to it", you are still going to have new drivers, inexperienced drivers, large trucks, reckless drivers, distracted drivers, and confused drivers that will go through here. Are there any plans to change this or make it better in the future? Whatever group designed and approved these need to take a look at this, and see how badly it was implemented, so this mistake isn't made for future roads.
hi! so i'm a full-time student and will be more than likely moving to everett in a few months for nursing school. i've been struggling to find decent places to live that don't break the bank, and i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for me! for context i'd need to sign a lease that has a guarantor option.
